He is definitely using you as a ticket to come to U.S., crying was just his way to manipulate you. If you don't wanna marry him then why do you have to bother to bring him here? And secondly, by USCIS law you will be responsible for him financially, since your the Petitioner. Why do you think USCIS ask for affidavit of support. To make sure you can financially support him here and not be a burden to the country. Before they can give him a visa. Already

I am so very sorry this is happening to you... Please listen to what everyone is telling you. Visa's aside, marriage is a life long commitment. You have to be 100% certain that this person will love you, care for you and protect you.....Always. There can be no doubt, mistrust or dishonesty in a marriage. I hope that you make the right decision for you.

I agree... while reading through these posts It crossed my mind if the tears were for a lost relationship or a lost visa.

You mentioned you do not trust his words, therefore there is no trust, and in my opinion "Trust" is the foundation to every relationship. A relationship that has no trust sooner or later will end.

My question is; If he comes to the US, and I do not marry him, he will obviously be here illegally. Is that going to affect me in any way? Thank guys. Fast response would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing that is in your scope of stuff to worry about

is

the I-134.

It's not legally binding,

and

expires when the I-94 expires.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Why is everyone afraid to offend the OP? What she is opposing is fraud. I'm not afraid to say that it's illegal and she will be a party to fraud and if caught( which most likely will happen because she posted in a public forum),she can be arrested and fined. We have far too many illegals in this country already and I don't feel sympathetic to her situation in the least. The lack of common sense in some people is beyond me.

So why did you visit and make it your business

to contact him under the guise of re-claiming

some papers, did you want to keep dangling a

carrot or want to further your confusion? my dear

you no longer want the man leave him & his family

out of your life, contact USCIS that you no longer

will get marry. When he gets here & force you into

a marriage, upon walking away from you him or his family

will not give YOU a second thought, and please

remember cyber crime agents visits every site ,every

minute , every day, they will know by ISP location

who you are, & maybe very aware of the fraud about to happen.

I agree.

But again...they never collected the I-134. I know of some members here where they did not ask for that form either. I am not sure why, but the only thing that I have in writing is the intention to marry. Now lets that he comes here, and I do not marry him, how can I be penalized when I can say that he lied to me. It does happen to other people that bring their fiances, and their relationship did not go well after coming to the US and before the 90 days.

exactly - and this is WHY the process is all screwed up. Too many times people say one thing and do another.

and the time frame for processing NOW has been extended to try to find these...

I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say that this bothers me, ANY one who comes here under false pretenses bothers me-- the actions of the wrongdoers effect the people who are doing it right.

If you know of a change and you don't report it - I would think that falls under fraud by deception -- will you be held accountable for it? probably not. Just the fact that you proposed this question tells me that you know its wrong, why do wrong when you can do right?

That is your interpretation of her writings.

There is not.

Yes Boiler, I can read. The OP wrote that in her second paragraph as being her feelings as far back as August. Then she goes to see him in December and doesn't confront the issues in the relationship. She even calls the consulate checking case status while there.

If a K1 petitioner, knowingly with 100 percent certainty that they will not marry their applicant, files the petition anyway - then that is fraud. This was not the case when she filed (at least so she states).

I don't think this lady is much different than many, many petitioners for K visas. I don't think she is much different than many writers to this community. She has doubts. She just admits them. Most people don't.

How many break up and then 5 months later start asking?

Perhaps there is a financial transaction?

It ceased to be for her benefit pages ago, as is often the case.

I'm sorry this happened to you.
I'm Dominican myself and I know men out there try to be slick just to come to the country. Seems to me that he has shown his true colors. Doesn't want to be with you, then he thought damn if I just pretend I can go to the US and who knows maybe even bring his mom/fam.

If you saw his true colors and done some hurtful things to you...why on earth would you want to commit your life to someone like that? Marriage is serious and you shouldnt go into it with doubts. You are young and beautiful Im sure you can find a good Godly man who loves you and treats you like u deserve. Suelta a ese tipo. No lo traiga para cojer lucha aqui. Te ira mal. Be polite and honest abt it and cancel that petition.

To everyone who supported and gave me good and respectful advice, I thank you! I withdrew the petition in february. I haven't been on because like all of you, I have a life outside visa journey, and since everything went down hill I do not stay on like I use to. To those that felt the need to be rude and disrespectful, not considering a person's situation, thank you anyway!! Everyone is entitle to put whatever they wish on here and rude words that are thrown to me, I just brush them off. I am doing good (those who are concern) better than what I thought. Thanks for everything VJ!!
