DS-260 address history gaps

Having trouble with my DS-260 as I had a period of about two years when I was living/travelling around Australia/Asia and moved around between jobs. Putting in the actual dates I was at places leaves gaps, and the form won't let me continue with gaps. When I filed my G-325A I left the gaps in, and put in a supplimental page explaining that I did not have a permanent address during several periods.

How should I proceed with the DS-260? Conscious I should have the same dates on my G-325A as the DS-260, but the form won't allow me - should I just put in the correct start dates and match the end dates?

You can also put wherever you had your mail sent to like your parent's house for example. Did you have a driver's license that had a permanent address on it?

Yes, my mail back home went to my parents throughout - should I just put in their address in the gaps? Will look very odd when I have two months in Australia, then a month in Ireland, then four months in Australia, then a month in Ireland etc etc.

I have a huge number of moves as it is too, my point is that moving between Ireland and Australia every two or three months for two years is surely going to raise a flag or cause me to get an RFE?

No why would it? That's where you moved! Besides the point you're past the RFE stage. They may asked why you moved so much but I wasn't asked at all. You're a UK citizen and can move all over the UK or to a common-wealth country fairly easily.

Irish, not a UK citizen. Even UK citizens need a visa for Australia.

Sorry Irish, didnt realize you werr going through Dublin. I know people need a visa too but the point being it's not difficult to obtain and moving a lot has no consequences. They just use the information to verify WHO you are, they're not a judge and jury on how you choose to live your life.

But you can also ask this question in your regional forum if you dont want to believe me to get answers from people who are going through the same embassy as you. That may ease your mind where I can't. But 18 moves from age 16 to 32 is a lot no matter who you are. I had some only a month in length with one spending 3 months in the USA for a college internship and I didnt have an issue at all. I used my mother's address for the month I was homeless. Take it as you will. Best of luck to you and yours. :)

Sounds like you were visiting, not residing in the places other than where your mail was delivered. Why not just leave your residence at the mail address because that was your "residence". You can enter Unemployed and a date range for the travel period. Explain as needed at the interview.
