EAD(I-765) not sure if I should fill it out.

Hey there vjers,

I'm not sure if I'm going to be working during the AOS period. Should I still fill out the I-765 just in case or do you think that will so this down on getting my green card>

You should always file for the EAD & AP, it costs you nothing, it doesn't slow the process down as they are processed separately and you never know when you might need them.

It doesn't hurt if you file for EAD/AP with your AOS application. Advantage is, it doesn't cost extra payment if it's included in the AOS packet whereas if you file it separately, it'll cost you 300 bucks I guess. Plus, you'll never know when you need it, it wouldn't slow down your case though. For me, it's really an advantage.

AOS may take a year or more, so yes, I would definitely fill it out.

No it doesn't, you can file it at any time when filing with an I485. The only time you need to pay a fee is at other times like if you request it while on a fiance(e) visa before getting married or any other time you are elgible to file for it without an I485.
