Well #######.

I called this morning and obviously didn't get a number, but the operator didn't try to give me an estimate of when it would be available either. None of them has yet. I'm calling morning and night from here on out.

You can put me on your list. I was expedited thru USCIS process. I guess that is what is making our NVC process fast. We already paid and sent everything. Waiting for the case to get completed. We might get RFE on our AOS or IV we don't know yet. I hope not.

I'm assuming you mean the spreadsheet? If so, you've been added.

Do I tell our email address etc to the NVC after we get a case number assigned or earlier?

It can't be done before the case number is assigned; only after. Please review posts 1 and 2.

Yesterday I travelled to the US with my husband(the petitioner) to visit for a few weeks. When we arrived at border they pulled me in for a secondary inspection. After two hours of questioning and waiting, we where allowed through. I've travelled to see him many times(ALOT actually) and have never been questioned before. My question is...Will this affect our immigration process in anyway?

You got through, so definitely not! I was denied twice (I wasn't even let in :P) and had absolutely no issues during the immigration process. Wasn't even asked about it at the interview!

Just got my case # to me! yay to me.. dancin5hr.gif

Anyway. I have few questions please help me.. now that i have my case #..

1. what to do next? I hired an atty as well, do I have to wait for him to tell what to do?

2. The agent I talked to took me email too.. so will i get some email from them too just like my atty?

3. When can i get my IIN?

This is killing me.. please help me.. crying.gif I really need it.. Thank you so much in advance.

1. Review posts 1 and 2.

2. Yes, if all three email addresses were given, then all three of you should receive emails.

3. Call back up and ask

Please follow my advice in number 1 above. Posts 1 and 2 have information you're missing out on...

Like TYorke1 said, this talk of additional evidence with IV package has me worried too. I sent in a fat stack of every type of evidence I could think of with the original petition, but I didn't send any additional with the IV thinking that I could just bring it with me to the interview. The only thing I can think of to add is more skype records, cards to each other and our families, and pictures of gifts. Maybe me and my families flight itenary and hotel reservations for our upcoming trip to visit her? Our time/sleep schedules match up, so we don't really have chat or email transcripts anymore since anytime I'm not at work we have a skype video call going, just a record of hour upon hour long calls everyday.

Anyways, I sent in the IV package last week, is it too late to send additional evidence with another IV cover sheet?

I think with this process we are always finding new things to worry about unnecessarily. As previously pointed out, it is something some applicants do who are in high fraud locations. It does not say anywhere on the official websites that any additional evidence is required at this stage nor does it say it in Saylins FAQs. Perhaps Saylin could shed some light for us as to whether we should be sending in relationship evidence with the IV pack as normal practice? If she says yes, then I'm screwed as mine has been with NVC for a couple of weeks already!

I'm 99% sure that it is not normal practice so we should be fine.

I haven't replied to anyone about this as NLR said it perfectly. It's not required, no. If it was, as you said, it'd be posted on NVC's website. But, in most, if not all, cases, the CO has already made a decision on your case BEFORE you get to the interview. So, the thinking is, the more evidence they have beforehand (through the original I-130 submission as well as anything added afterwards, typically in the IV package), the higher the chances they'll approve it. But this is more important in high fraud countries. For places such as Canada and the UK, this isn't really needed as pretty much everyone gets approved, as long as everything is in order. But for MENA countries, it's best to send more evidence in the IV package as that's where the most denials come from. So, if you (the general you, not you specifically) want to submit more evidence, no matter what country, then go ahead. I can't see how it would hurt. And if you don't want to, then don't. Obviously, if you don't end up submitting anything more in the IV package, bring it with you to the interview, in case they do ask to see more evidence.

I might need to be more assertive...

I called USCIS this morning to ascertain when (and if!) my case left TSC for NVC. The person on the phone was nice as pie, but she said they wouldn't be able to tell me when or if it was shipped to NVC. She could tell me I was approved (which, of course, I already knew), but as far as shipping out, there was no info.

Is this a case where I should have asked to speak to a Tier 2? My case status has not changed since 1/31, when my petition was approved.

Thanks.

Sukie
