It's up to you to decide.

I for one, when it's my turn to send the packet, I will add all the needed evidences so that the consular office can take a look at it even before we ever get to the interview. idea9dv.gif

For your consulate, this is a very wise decision. ;)

Yup I agree with you a 101%. Plus I've read and heard that at the interview, the consular officer rarely takes a look at your evidence. why? I don't know. But one thing I know for a fact is, if I have the opportunity to present evidence to them before my interview I will gladly do that without hesitation biggrin.png

Hi Saylin,

I Hope you can enlighten me with my issue. im having a situation about DS-261 to where I filled it up Feb.4 and I just saw yesterday that I put my agent's country wrong that it should be US instead of Philippines. so what I did is I edit the form and sent it again and got the notification again like I had the first time. would it make a problem with our case that I sent DS-261 twice? plus its been quite a few days that we haven't received the IV fee though our AOS is been paid. hoping someone can enlighten me with this.

Nov 5 2013: NOA 1Priority date

Dec 11 2013: NOA2

Feb 4: DS-261 available (choice of agent) mistakes done

Feb 10: AOS Paid

Feb 18: DS-261 submitted (2nd time)

For your consulate, this is a very wise decision. wink.png

All this chat about sending in additional relationship evidence with the IV package has got me worried. I did not send any such thing in, just the civil docuements that are required along with copies and copy of data page of passport and 2x photos. It does not say anywhere that you need to send this evidence in on the official websites!?

Is it just for certain consulates? I've never heard of anyone sending this kind of stuff going through London.

Thanks

We also made a mistake on the 261. We submitted a 2nd one and when we called them they said that one would just replace the first one we did. So you dont need to worry about doing it twice.

according to my logic:

-the idea of uscis step is to confirm a bona fide marriage/relationship. if they are not sure about it they send RFEs. if they approve it means that everything is fine.

-relationship evidences are not required at NVC

i don't get why people are so overzealous, too many papers in a package might look suspicious, like you want to prove something very hard, too hard.

a consulate step is to verify everything, so they can ask about everything.

Has anybody encountered any problem if they mixed handwriting and typing on the same i864? I called and NVC lady told me it is not a problem, but I m asking here in case that answer veries from different tel rep. My joint sponsor will leave my address blank when she sends me her signed i864 for me to fill out. Will two handwritings cause problems?

And if the beneficiary's oversea address is too long for the space given in part 2, I suppose we should attach a letter to it? But what do we put in the blank then? "Please see attachment letter", something like this???

Thank you for your answers!!

If she signs the form, attached letter must be signed by her too. She's the person responsible for the filled form and attachments.

Disregard!

My hubby just called NVC again and this time the rep said no mixing of handwriting and typewriting. From the sound of it, he just wants to make sure that's the safest answer to give. So, we are going to type everything in.

Because she doesn't want to mess up the spelling of a foreign address? So she wanted me to fill out. But since we are not gonna put any handwriting in, I ll just let her type it in. And I figured out a way of making the sophisticated and long Chinese address westernized.

try to fill this part of the form to see how it looks. tell her how to correctly fill it. if the address is to long give her instruction how to type attachment.

everything will be fine, i'm sure. no stress. :)
