NVC Filers - February 2014

How long does it take to generate 2013 tax transcripts? I mean, if my joint sponsored hasn't filed their taxes yet. I would assume it takes time for these tax transcripts to actually be generated in the IRS system.

As another member posted, it depends. I did mine electronically this year. Just got my refund on Friday (happy Valentine's to me luv.gif ) and I just checked now and my transcript is available.

If you don't want to wait for the tax transcripts, you can always send a FULL copy of the tax return (1040, W2s, 1099s, schedules, worksheets, etc). Basically, anything that was sent to the IRS has to be sent to NVC.

Hello,

I had I130 approved jan30 and waiting for NVC case number. Thank you Saylin for the great topic, it is very helpful for me.

I started a topic about 864EZ problem, but it was moved to an inappropriate forum and i think i wont get an answer there. Anyway.

The problematic part is Citizenship/Residency of the 864EZ form, when i click the field "I am a U.S. citizen" i get a message for zero value

etc etc, and when im saving the form this part for USC really goes to zero value-not filled, im attaching the screenshot.

Someone had this problem? What is the solution?

Im sure i do everything right, revised many times, but obviously there is an error. Suggestions? help, please.

Just fill out the rest of the form, print it out, check off US citizen and move on.

Since you don't have a signature, what date was your case number assigned?

And joint sponsors, as with the petitioner, need to provide tax information. Either the most recent year or the three past years. Tax transcripts are much preferred over ENTIRE tax returns. Please review posts 1 and 2.

It varies by panel physician, but it's probably $200-$300. I paid about $230 IIRC.

Hi Saylin,

The case number was assigned 0n 4Feb and I paid my AOS fees and have completed the 2ea I-864 and 1ea I-864a.we received all past 3 years Tax transcripts, last week also. Do we need to included are W-2's also? What signature are referencing too? Thanks for your help and quick reply.

As long as no one filed jointly, no W2s aren't needed with the tax transcripts.

And the signature is below each person's post. If you look below, I have one. Most people put all their important dates, such as myself. This is a lot better than timelines since you can put those missing time ticks (like case number, for one). Plus, it's faster to see in threads as it's right there. It's typically much more thorough than timelines. (Not saying timelines don't have their place though. They're very handy when looking at time frames under the timeline function on this website!)

I have a question about the medical exam.

We submitted DS-261, paid AOS, and are waiting for IV bill to be generated. downloaded the medical instructions from the state dept website.

We are wondering if it's ok to schedule the medical prior to the case complete at NVC since it should be at the embassy within a month?

Thanks.

No you'll have to wait for the interview date to be assigned to schedule the medical date.

I have a question. I'm in-home caregiver and I'm trying to fill out my current annual income on I-864. My monthly income can change at any time of the year if the state reduces or increases for a home caregiver worker of their salary. Do I still put what I make monthly now times 12 months anyways to give them my current annual income? Or just put what I made for the year in 2013, even tho it's not my current salary as I have now. Thanks for your time and help ^_^

The question isn't asking about last year's income; it's asking how much you're CURRENTLY making, right NOW, as of the filing. So, as you suggested, take your monthly income and multiple it by 12 to get your current annual income :)

Otherwise, looks good to me!

It's better to send the evidence in the IV package, but if you've already sent that, then the AOS package will be fine.

It means that the petitioner has to make over $19,387 for a household size of 2. If they don't, a joint sponsor will be required.

saylin,

where do I get my annual income from to put on the I-1864 form? my most recent tax transcript, which would be 2012? how many months of pay stubs should I Include, 6 months or the past 1 year?

Current annual income isn't based on tax information. It's how much you're making CURRENTLY, right NOW, as of the filing of the form.

And if your pay stubs show a YTD amount, you technically only need one. If not, just send a few months. It's up to you. Pay stubs in themselves are optional, so the amount isn't set.
