Do I get email notifications from NVC whenever there is a form or invoice ready for action from our side now that I updated NVC with our email address?

I dont want to login everyday into CEAC website to see if anything is available.

They should, but I wouldn't rely on receiving emails. But, if you don't mind wasting some time, that's fine.

Did this pop up when filling in the DS-260 (near the very end)?

Either way, it wouldn't hurt to print, sign, and date it. Then bring it to the interview. Although, I'm not a male tongue.png, so it wasn't required for me, so I don't really know too much about it. But like I said, it won't hurt bringing one more piece of paper. Only hand it over if requested.

Yes it did! I will print it out and have the hubby sign it prior to the interview :).

Ah, ok, then yes, if it popped up from the DS-260, I'd definitely print and sign it then. Better to be safe than sorry! ;)

Just to understand you, you're the petitioner and your dad will be the joint sponsor? If you're a dependent on his taxes, this his household size will be 6 (himself, spouse, 3 kids, and the beneficiary).

Alright, then your dad needs to meet the poverty line for a household of 6. And for your I-864, you'll just have a household of 2 (yourself and the beneficiary).

Whether you've worked or not, you, as the petitioner, still need to file an I-864. It's fine if you don't have any income, that's what your dad, the joint sponsor, is for (as long as he makes over the poverty line for a household size of 6).

When sending I-864 or IV(DS260) info to NVC by email, what is the best way to do it? Create one big pdf with all the required forms and stuff in order with cover sheet and barcoded cover sheet, or several pdf file attachments in one email? I read posts 1 & 2 and also on the NVC site, and to me they kinda contradict each other.

And when sending packages by email there is no need to mail in originals, only to bring originals to interview?

Does this means I need originals for I-864(tax transcrpits, letter of employment, etc) also at the interview?

I received a checklist from NVC today stating that they need Police Certificate for my wife. However, their own instruction clear states that she would be exempt because she falls under the fourth category (non-indian applying outside of India).

Any idea on how to proceed?

______10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office.

Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.

Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District Police Station serving their area of residence.

Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying outside India.

Where is your wife living right now? She needs a police certificate for the countries where she lived for more than one year (double check at the DOS or consulate website), for the past five years ( double check at the DOS or consulate website). I think what the last bullet is saying is the, in case she's a non-Indian, who lived in India but currently doesn't, they do not issue a Police certificate for her. That's how I'm interpreting this. But still, she needs police certificates from where she lived (except the US)
