can anyone please tell me what Surnames and Given Names will be his name is MD Amirul Haq

so given name is Haq than should i put MD Amirul as a surname or just MD

because he's passport didnt wrote name separetly they wrote full name MD Amirul Haq

so please anyone can answer?

my AOS is paid now what next ??

I am really surprised that at this stage of your petition almost going to complete, you are asking such basic question,

What did your write in your I130, passport clearly will specify which is surname and family name, if you don't have family name leave it blank, the answers to your question is in your passport,

Please don't mess it up . At this stage of processing.

Who with my date has not received case number yet????? NVC received case on 1/13/14, today is 20 business day and I have yet to get a case number... They are providing excuses such as we have received several applications and it's taking longer than usual to input them into the system.. UGHHHHHHH!!!!!! I have had it.. How much longer are we supposed to wait

I was able to put in a service request. When I called NVC at day 21/22 I acted extremely sweet/polite and asked the rep about what could be done since 20 day have passed. He told me that he will place a service request for me. The next day I got my number :) I feel that the rep was equally nice as well, so I don't know if my tone helped or he was just helpful.

Trust me, you will get your number soon :) Good luck.

hello to all. is the AOD and IV bill process still separate? Will the issue the IV bill independently of the AOS bill, or will they wait until all of the AOS material is approved?

That's good news! A lot of things are going to start to happen. The next one is you'll get your case number and IIN number assigned. That usually takes 20 business days. So you have a good chunk of time now to get familiar with this process and to get documents you'll need. You may start by reading posts 1 and 2 of this thread.

Here's an overview of the process, from post 2:
- get case number and IIN, give email addresses over
- complete the online DS-261
- pay the AOS bill, once it's invoiced
- once the bill appears as PAID, send the AOS package
- pay the IV bill, once it's invoiced
- once the bill appears as PAID, send the IV package
- complete the online DS-260
- respond to any checklists, if applicable
- get case complete
- get interview date scheduled
- case is sent to embassy/consulate

Folks from India, what is required for PCC? Do they require the barcode sheet?

Hi,

You can apply online for PCC and scheduled an appointment too. You only need to bring your passport and a self attested copy of your passport with you during the appointment with passport office. You will get the PCC on the same day itself.. You can find the details here: http://passportindia...ne/pccOnlineApp

I apologize if this has already been answered....I did not see it in the first two posts

I am renaming my files for the supporting documents for NVC electronic processing. I understand the format CaseNumber_Name_Document.

With the DS-260 docs, obviously I use the applicants (beneficiary) name. However on the I-864 do I also use the applicants name or would it be my name since I am the US petitioner/sponsor?

Thanks!

NVC is open today..thought i saw someone say its gonna be closed today.

anyway, i still dont have an interview date yet. ive seen people get one in like 2-3 days.

ugh

Wow - I figured it would be closed today too.

NYC is lots of fun commuting right now...right?! Well somehow I feel better that if I have to be at work that the NVC is working too. I am waiting for my invoices to be ready...so antsy! Never wanted to pay a bill so badly.

Hey Saylin.

I have decided that I am going to reschedule my medical as it is not advisable to have it until London have received your case. Otherwise they cannot be matched with my case.

I know you said it will be fine to change my date even though I said it was going to be the 20th Feb on my DS260 when explaining "no" to the vaccination question, but do you think it would cause a problem at the interview? What if the officer interviewing me sees that I suggested that my medical was on the 21st Feb on the DS260 but notices I actually had it at a later date? Could he think I was being deceitful (even though I'm not)

I know I am probably worrying over nothing and he/she couldnt care less what date it was as long as its done, but I cant help but worry! :-(

Thanks for your continued help

sorry, don't know my my post didn't correctly post. TYorke - my husband is also from the UK, and he got his medical done right after we got our case number. I know you were debating a bit on what to do so let me add our experience... London doesn't schedule interviews without a medical in hand - that's a given. The receipt my husband got from the medical stated that it takes up to 6 weeks for the results to be sent and given a file... don't want to play another waiting game at that stage!!! Also, he said the doctor said it was a good idea to have the medical done early in the game so you could be scheduled a quicker interview, that way when London receives the file they can just attach the medical to it right away. Hope this helps you a bit! Good luck!

hello to all. is the AOD and IV bill process still separate? Will the issue the IV bill independently of the AOS bill, or will they wait until all of the AOS material is approved?

From what I understand, they are billed separately and are independent from the each other. In other words, the IV is not dependent upon AOS being "approved". Some people are even invoiced about the same time and send both packets together. Check out in the first post. Saylin (expert extraordinaire!!!) created a chart that shows the APS and IV tracks.

By the way, as I understand it, the only "approval" at the NVC stage is when the case is complete and sent out to the consulate. NVC will only do that when it has everything they need from us, which sometimes means they'll send a checklist (request for explanation/ information); it's good to try and not have checklists!

Thank you for your reply! I am unsure as to what to think to be honest as I have seen different accounts from different people. I was under the impression that NVC schedule the interview? I know it says an interview date will not be given until they have recieved the results of the medical but I have seen quite a few people get there interview date without having done their medical. I'm confused lol. Also, I thought from various accounts of people who have been to the London medical that the send the results over to the Embassy by courier within 3 days.

On one hand, I do really want to get it out of the way, but on the other I don't want the results getting lost if I have not case at London yet. At the moment I am leaning towards cancelling it and booking one as soon as I know my case is at London but that could change. I have until tomorrow to cancel to avoid paying the cancellation fee.

Did your husband get his interview date yet?

Thanks

any advice on my above query?

Hi. I'm not much help with the tax stuff. Sorry.

The police clearance stuff... You will have to have it and don't need to wait for NVC to ask. I suggest you go the immigrant visa information at the US consulate in your country (website). Hopefully it's going to be like the Consulate in Rio, where I found out (in English and Portuguese-helpful to see how're names of the documents translate):

1) whether I need state and/or federal police report (in Brazil it's both);

2) letter from the consulate that I could print and use to request the police reports (pdf in Portuguese; I didn't need one);

3) how current the certificate needed to be. It turns out, our reports are only current for 90 days. SoI need to time well when I get it or request again if it expires.
