Sorry for the "30 days" confusion,.

This is what I mean:

It takes 30 days for the green card is sent to the address on the DS-260.

Thanks for the information about not being legal to send a green card by FEDEX.

I am glad to know that the visa in my passport can be used for one year as a temporary green card.

27 May 2014 : Received Checklist: asking 2013 Transcript (one checklist for each parent)

30 May 2014: Called NVC spoke with supervisor. The supervisor could not open the 2013 Transcripts we've sent in our AOS package on April21, because it was downloaded from IRS site. He said it was password protected.

We scanned the transcript and sent it to the supervisor at nvcinquiry@state.gov.

The supervisor was kind enough to wait on the phone and confirm that he has received our email with scanned transcripts attachments.

Supervisor asked another 3 weeks to review our cases.

01 Jun 2014: We sent 2 separate emails (one case # for each parent ) "Response to Checklist" to nvcelectronic@state.gov complete with all the attachments scanned into pdf.

04 Jun 2014 : Case Complete for both parents! ?

25 Jun 2014 : Medical done

22 Jul 2014 : Montreal interview. Approved! ?

09Sep2014 : Entry at Niagara-Buffalo Peace Bridge Officer also requested Green Card and SSN. We have received the Green Cards but we never received SIN. We requested the SIN cards again in November at Local Office and receiver the cards in one week.

I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

There's no definite time frame for the green card. It can take anywhere from a few days to receive it to a few months. All depends on which POE you're going through and how busy USCIS is once they receive your package.

But yes, no need to worry about the green card if you have your passport with the visa and stamp in it.

Thanks for such a quick reply. On the i-864 first page is the mailing address and "other info" section on the sponsor or immigrant?

That's part of Part 2, which is about the immigrant. The I-864 is divided into two columns. The second column is the continuation of the first.

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

Hi,

I am not yet at the NVC stage, but hope to be very soon :-)

In preparing for the NVC stage I started to fill out my AOS documents. I ran into the I864-EZ and per the instructions I qualify. I seldom see it discussed here, is it still allowed for IR1-CR1 spouse visas? Any gotchas of it causing more RFEs or checklists vs the I864? I have gone through the first few pages but didn't see the 864ez discussed.

so given name is Haq than should i put MD Amirul as a surname or just MD

because he's passport didnt wrote name separetly they wrote full name MD Amirul Haq

Use the passport last (surname) Haq.

Guys,

In your experience, does the DS-261 appear as "frayed out" or is simply not available when you have an attorney ?

Or does the attorney need to fill it out ?

I have a friend who has an attorney but he has a DS-261 form visible after the CEAC site login.

Is that normal ?

What is the protocol to resolve this ?

Hello All,

We got our NVC case number assigned on Friday Feb 7th 2014. But the person said he cannot enter the email addresses yet, I need to call Monday.

I have a few questions, I know once they have our email addresses the beneficiary and the petitioner will receive emails for Agent and AOS information.

It is Feb 2014, and with my AOS do I need to send my W-2 s from 2013? I have worked in 2 companies last year. And I have got the W-2 from one but not from other yet. Of course I have not filled for this years taxes but I have W-2 from 2012 and tax returns up till 2013.

Is it ok to send the W2 from 2012 only and 3 years of tax returns only with my pay stubs and employment letter?

The other question is in regards to Police certificate, do I need to wait for the request for police certificate from NVC or I can go ahead and get one done from my spouse ? My spouse mentioned they need a letter stating that what do you need the certificate for

Any suggestion or advice will be greatly appreciated

any advice on my above query?

Checking in with a great news! We finally got our case number, IIN & BIN !dancin5hr.gif It took 22 days to get it.

But it doesn't end there, we'll be calling back to give our email addressessecret7vf.gif , and we have to wait for another 20 days again for them to accept these email addresses (?)..(the operator said)

Nah, it's a big question mark! But anyway, we'll try to call again tomorrow.luv.gifClockWatch2.gif
