I called again, received the IIN. The operator also gave me the Beneficiary ID number.

The operator mentioned not to try to pay the fee until I get instructions from them, any suggestions or advice on that?

Case was received at NVC on 13/Jan/2014.

Case number and IIN assigned on 12/Feb/2014

his correct, even though u have case number, u cant make payment

u should be able to make payment once it gets invoiced.

and when Aos fees get invoiced they send a email, stating case can be further processed.

I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

According to post # 2:

Help! I can't sign into the payment portal. Why?

If you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-261 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

In this case, it doesn't seem yours falls cleanly in one of those scenarios but I think shortly you should be able to pay.

I am also the same date as you regarding when the NVC received the case Jan 13, but I called them twice today, and they stated that the are still inputting my case into their computer system... What exactly did they tell you?

My case was received on January 14 at NVC. Just got off the phone with an operator. She was so short over the phone. No case number yet. 2 months since my NOA2. good luck to everybody. THis forum is great.

Saylin one thing on our checklist was please submit court and prison records. Well my husband has 7 different minor things on his police record that we submitted. The oldest case was in 1982 and the most recent was in 1997. Now he lives in Pickering now. And one of these cases was in Niagara Fall one was in Brampton one in Orangeville. Does he have to run all over Canada to get these court documents?? Or does he just have to go to RCMP to get his fingerprinting done?? And do you know how many sets of fingerprints? He went to do the fingerprinting and they said it could take up to 90 Days:(((

I know it says above that petitioner and beneficiary receive case number but can someone else confirm? Where my stepson lives, it could be weeks before he receives anything by snail mail.

Also, for copies of tax returns, do they want state and all schedules or just 1040?

One other thing! Does anyone know the required passport photo size in centimeters (for brazil)?

They post the materials required by Consulate in Rio. Do a little exploring. You'll find useful info.

Hi..i was wrong on the date placed..it was available on the 12th not 11..im sure you will have yours too either today. i called them the other day but none available yet and they said it might be on friday or this monday. But i just tried my luck earlier and was a bit surprised it was available already. Im sure you will have yours soon.. :)
