I've read posts 1 & 2, followed every imaginable question and your answers in the January thread that I am now ready to take on NVC! This is THE month for Fabian&Rossy!!

Have you gotten your civil documents yet? My wife got them pretty quickly in Lima. I'm just waiting for the NVC to say GO!

I'm praying we get case number this week. I-130 approval 12/23, Nebraska service center shipped this to NVC on 12/27, NVC received this case and being put in their system on 1/13... Currently been 14 business counting MLK holiday. So considering 10-20 business days for case number assignment this upcoming week should be the week! I'm declaring that right now. Anyone in our same shoes with these similar dates?

Hi Saylin, I (USC) am living abroad with my spouse. Since my current employment will cease when I resign and move back to the U.S. my dad is our Joint Sponsor. We are including his pay stubs as evidence of income. Should I include mine as well even though I will be resigning in the near future? Thank you!

approved on 12/18/13

recevied hard copy of approval 12/23/13

waiting for case number and AOS fees Is there anyone similar to my date and did received case# AOS?

i emailed NVCresarch and they replied me on january 21

We recently received your visa petition. We will send NVC processinginstructions within 30 days.

does it take them 30 days after received file from uscis how many days it take for other?

recevied hard copy of approval 12/23/13

My NOA2 is 12/23 and I already have my case number. Sounds like you're not calling, which you should be as often as you can or want so that they'll give you your case number and Invoice Identification Number.

Do you have a cell phone with data? There is an app called "Magic Jack" that you can download, and it let's you make free calls to US numbers. You should try that and call the NVC.

Just checking in: we're hoping to send off the AoS and IV packages this week.

I sent my 2 packets after pressing my attorney hard on last Thursday and they received on Friday. But I have a feeling that I may get a checklist for for IV packet as I did not send original birth & marriage certs. Instead notarized copies.

We are waiting for the NVC to issue the case # any day. I know we have to pay the AOS and IV fees and submit these packages. We won't have the police certificate in hand for the IV package. We were under the impression that the PCC would be needed at the time of the interview in the US Consulate - Mumbai. The US Consulate Mumbai also specifies that PCC is one of the documents to be brought in.

I am wondering if submitting the PCC with IV package to NVC is a requirement or optional?

If you don't submit the PCC in the IV package, you'll get a checklist for it. The case won't be closed until they receive it. You can try, at that point, requesting that they close it and that you'll bring the PCC to the interview, but this isn't a guarantee to work.

How much longer until you get the PCC? It'll still be a few weeks before you're able to send in the IV package...

No actually the problem is he wasn't employed before this. As in he just got a job so he has just one year's tax returns. So I wanted to ask if it's ok to submit one year tax return or do we still need a joint sponsor?

Oh, okay. Well, if he just got his job, even though it's above the poverty lines, NVC and/or the embassy might still request a joint sponsor. You can obviously try sending it without and see what NVC says.

Even though my wife's visa is approved, I still want to avail myself for others going through NVC & interview.

Excellent! Be sure to review the first 2 posts on this thread for guidance on speeding up the remainder of your journey through calling NVC rather than waiting on them. Call and make sure they have your email addresses.

you can also use talktone on iphone or ipod ipad

its free and need US address to sign up you can just call by number dont need country code i used

now i cant use because here 2g internet thats way voice not clear
