I think TSC is one of the slow service centers to send petitions. Remember, you may or may not get another status update only when it ships. My suggestion: call up USCIS and ask if the petition has been sent out. If they say yes, ask for the EXACT date.

Thanks, Saylin! Is this something that a Tier 1 person can answer, or will I have to push for a Tier 2??

Other than the VOE, i have everything else scanned and ready for NVC... Providing its done before the April 15th, otherwise i will have to get the 2013 transcripts once i file my taxes in the states...

Thanks again! you would be proud i have the map you created printed out on legal paper in my office and am all set and waiting to pull the trigger for EP and online forms! :)

Not too sure, sorry. Ask the Tier 1 and if they can't help, then request a Tier 2.

Nope, doesn't matter at all. There was no need to put the date of your medical, but NVC isn't about to start calling to confirm these things. And even if they did, it's still fine. These things get rescheduled all the time. Absolutely NOTHING to worry about no0pb.gif

Ok, that's a relief. The dilemma I have is that I have realised that when I complete my medical next week and the results are couriered over to the Embassy they will have absolutely no idea who I am as my case is still at NVC and has not been passed onto London yet.

It's strange because all you need to complete your medical in the UK is your case number so I thought as soon as I had it I'd get the medical out of the way. I have done some research and have not seen any problems doing it this way apart from one guy on another forum. He had his medical before London had received his case and when he went for the interview they said they did not have his results. He was adamant that he had it done and showed them the receipt. They spent the next 15 minutes looking and finally found them. They hadnt been matched up with his case. I want to avoid this scenario to be honest, or even worse, a scenario where they cannot be found at all. I mean what would happen in that case? Would I have to file the I-130 again and start from the beginning lol

Its a tricky one because I really do want to get it out of the way, and I'm all booked in next week but I want to avoid any problems with my files not being matched up at the Embassy...

I'd suggest waiting until at least you get NOA2 as it's better if the employment letter is dated closer to when you actually end up sending the AOS package.

While you're waiting though, you may want to start filing those 2013 taxes as it'll be needed at the interview for sure, and depending when you get the NOA2, perhaps even at NVC.

And aww, that's awesome! :D

Worst case if they lose the medical, you'll need to get a new one done. You definitely won't have to re-file a new I-130, no. So, at the most, it'd be a delay of a few weeks (depending how fast the embassy processes mail and then issues the visa). In your case, make sure you keep the receipt after the medical and bring it to the interview as the other member did.

Unfortunately, I don't know the medical procedure for London. In Canada, first of all, you can only get the medical done with an interview letter. And second, they give you the results in a sealed envelope; the panel physician doesn't mail it to Montreal.

No need to submit the supporting evidence if the only thing wrong is the form. But, you may want to hold off on sending it and just wait until they review it. You may get lucky and the reviewing officer might not notice (it does happen sometimes). Plus, there may be more wrong with the form than just that one question.

Thanks again for your insight. I just called the NVC to see if my original AOS package was scanned, still has not been. I asked him also about how I realized I made a mistake by using "adjusted gross income" instead of "total income", and I got the "answer I wanted to hear".

This guy was pretty detailed... he told me that I could either wait for a checklist or go ahead and submit the I-864 alone. He told me that they would first review my intial AOS package, and if I indeed entered the wrong info, they would send me an email with a checklist. THEN, they would review my next submission and find that I had already corrected it, and they then would send me an updated email confirming my package (if there is no additional checklist needed). He also reminded me to send the bar-coded cover sheet if I were to send the I-864 again.

His response gave me peace of mind, so I've decided to go ahead and resend my I-864, understanding that there could be anything else that could be checklisted. I figure that if for any reason I have something else that will be checklisted, then it would've happened whether I sent another I-864 or not smile.png

I wanted to share because I realize I'm not the only who has made this mistake, or maybe I can help others avoid stressing themselves out like I'm doing to myself!! content.gif

I just wanted to check to see if I'm the only one in this position:

I received my NOA2 notification by email on January 31st. They mailed me the hard-copy on February 3rd. My status on the USCIS site has not changed. NVC does not have my petition yet.

Honestly, how long does it take TSC to ship the stuff to NVC? I'm assuming if it left TSC, I'd have a different status date! I'm not expecting them to bundle up all the approved petitions every day and ship them, but I would have thought they send them weekly, at the very least!

Am I out of line in thinking Elvis should have left the building by now?

Sukie

Ours are from tsc too..and it took 3weeks before they give us notification that our approved petition was forwarded to nvc..check my signature below..its true.tsc took so long cimpared to others..hold on a little bit.it might be there soon.

can anyone please tell me what Surnames and Given Names will be his name is MD Amirul Haq

so given name is Haq than should i put MD Amirul as a surname or just MD

because he's passport didnt wrote name separetly they wrote full name MD Amirul Haq

so please anyone can answer?

When I applied for my husband I put his given name as the last name. His name is Mohammad Shumon, although in Bangladesh a lot of people do not really have "family" names or surnames. All my husband's relatives have different last names. I just put Mohammad as first name and given name as last or surname and added a note that in Bangladesh they do not really follow this system of surnames. I also added that my father-in-law and my husband's brothers have Mohammad in their name for similar purposes as a "family" name.

Hope this helped!

Please read the I-864 instructions. It states right on that question what line to use.

How? I'm pretty sure they charged me for the phone call through skype. I think gmail phone is free, but the reception is always so bad it's not worth it to try.

I personally used Google Voice, but there are a multitude of ways to do it. Google is your friend wink.png
