my country is bangladesh but i am us citizen its didnt ask country of birth so should i put usa? or not?

Please call up NVC to make sure your lawyer is correctly attached to the case. If he is, again, I repeat, don't fill out the DS-261.

Just an FYI: I'm going out to get my car checked as I've been having issues this past week, so I'll be away for a bit. Please post your question ONCE and then WAIT. Do not post your question again and again within a few minutes. BE PATIENT.

As far as I know, NVC doesn't require those documents. If they did, I would think they would list it here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html

But a consent form will be needed before immigrating since the child is under-age. Hopefully the court pulls through!

Thanks for your response. I actually hadn't thought about needing the consent yet because I didn't see it as a requirement in those instructions either. It wasn't until I searched the forum for something else that I found a VJer who posted he was asked for the consent during the NVC stage. There were others who found it odd and said it shouldn't be required...

I should stop overthinking and just go by the instructions smile.png

And yes, thanks, I am flying out in March for the hearing on our case shocked.gif

1. I checked off both boxes and had no problems. They definitely need to re-word those two boxes.

2. You have to use the EXACT line. So, if it ends up being $0, so be it. Doesn't matter how it looks. If you put any other number, you WILL get a checklist.

Ok. Will do. Thank you, Saylin!

Hey

What is this in relation to? My wife is worried with the AOS she submitted. The i-864 shows income to the penny but tax return rounds up to the nearest dollar. Does this mean we will get a checklist?

If so, how on earth are you supposed to avoid this happening?

Thanks

Yeah, I don't know what happened with that one member. It's probably just the reviewing officer that day. Cause I've never seen consent forms having to be sent at NVC before. It's more something you bring with you to the interview and at POE.

Hi,

1) Should "in-and-out / same day trip (in transit in an american airport for few hours, from Canada going to another country)" be reported on DS-260 as one of the 5 last entries in the US?

2) I've looked Saylin's DS-260 screen shots. I could not find the fields marked "optional". Which fields are those "optional" that we could leave them blank?

Could somebody please, kindly answer my questions?

Thank you!

1. Hmm, I'd say to be on the safe side, include them.

2. Those aren't MY screenshots by the way. Just ones I found. And I'm sorry, but I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. There aren't any optional questions, all of them have to be filled out.

Hi Saylin,

Thank you for your reply.

I am going to include the "in transit" in my list of 5 last entries.

Those are really "entries" in the US, no matter how long we stayed in the country, right?

Fields marked Optional:

Please check the link bellow. Please click on "are all fields on DS-260 mandatory?"

Many thanks,
