Thank you for answering smile.png

It's been quite some time since our case has been sent over and she never even told us when NVC received it.

We would very much like to call NVC as well, the only thing that's holding us back is her statement that our case is gonna get flagged. Has anyone else ever heard of this? We were thinking to maybe just call NVC and ask if it is ok for us to check in on our case?

NO. It will not get flagged. You can call NVC. I use attorney who doesn't know much about the process (I realized his level of knowledge after I signed up - oops8rh.gif ) . I had to guide him to do the work.

I call NVC when where I need to get info. So no need to afraid. Some attorneys don't know what they are doing & don't like when the client bothers them.secret7vf.gif

No there is nothing to print off, no part 1 and part 2. don't worry about it.

yes you send two photos containing your case number, DOB, and full name printed. No signature.

Because many of us can get the vaccinations as children and have proof of the vaccinations. I don't have that record but I know my parents had me vaccinated as a child. I have the scar on my arm from it when I was 4. Because I couldn't retrieve those records (I'm over 30 and they don't keep them that long) I first went to my doctor and had my blood checked for immunity. I have immunity to measles and rubella but not mumps, so I went to my local health clinic where I received a vaccination, for free, for MMR (because I couldn't get just mumps.) I also received the TDaP for free as it had been over 10 years since I last had one. Why would I pay for those vaccinations at the medical exam when I could get them for free? Why would I get the vaccinations if I have immunity?

I just read this and its very informative, thank you, I haven't started this yet, I called my doctor last week and I was advised to walk-in to his clinic so he would check me on it. then as you did, i will follow through.

OMG, I forgot that getting all these vaccinations for free. thank you NLR. to be honest I had in mind to get those vaccinations checked at the medical.

My Journey:

March 29, 2013 :PD Dec-20, 2013 USCIS approval date July 28. 2015 (F) (F) (F)Interview Date APPROVED.

Phew I was a bit worried for a second there! I certainly haven't attach any ds260 stuff to my IV package.

My IV consisted of;

Bar code cover sheet

Original police certificate and copy

Original birth certificate and copy

Original marriage certificate and copy

Copy of info page of passport

And 2 x photo with name date of birth and case number

That sounds right, yeah?

Keep in mind, some people actually DO have the required vaccines. Like I did. But yes, most people don't, so not sure why they ask this.

I'm really way far away from being at this stage, so forgive if I'm saying silliness! But, could it be that they ask that so they schedule the interview and the medical with more time in between the two, for "no" answers and less times for "yes"?

You schedule the medical based off of when you get the interview date unless brazil is odd that way? So it doesn't matter what you answer on there, as long as you have proof of the vaccinations come interview time.

Depends on the country. In Canada, they are not, as all the vaccinations are available free of charge when the person is a child.

(minus hep A etc.. both that isn't required of people immigrating from Canada.)
