paid my aos fee on the 30st of january; showed up paid on the 5th of Feb. When should I expect my IV bill to be invoiced? DS261 was submitted quite a while back, while my case was on hold to get assigned to a new embassy. That was a go on the 30th of january, so maybe thats when they started to input the DS261 in the system? So basically, should I give them a call or wait a couple more days for the IV bill to be invoiced?

Called NVC today to see if they had reviewed my husband civil documents and the operator informed that they did and that they are only waiting on my AOS packet which I had mailed out next day (USPS) yesterday. I did ask the operator if I had to submit any additional civil documents and he said no just need the AOS. Also, how long it will take for them to process the AOS and he said 30 business days, but that must be a standard saying for them. Sooo I guess no check list for IV packetdancin5hr.gif .

My package was suppose to arrive today before 3pm at NVC, but when I track it, it keeps telling me its departed from the post office facility in Savannah today...Not to happy about that I paid $30 so it could arrive today. ranting33va.gif

Right, but am I right in thinking that if you were to put 'no' and in the explanation box 'because I'm scared of needles" then you'll still be iinvited for an interview but obviously refused? I'm not scared of needles by the way! Just hyperthetical! Ha

Also, having looked at some historic examples on here it seems that around half of people in my situation put 'yes' as they know they would be covered by the time of the interview. Do you reckon putting 'yes' in this instance potentially get you in trouble as you wouldn't have the required documents at the time of submitting the form or is this acceptable?

Thanks again!

Well, a medical needs to be completed, and if you don't pass that, then no, you won't get the visa.

In your case, I'd put no, as RIGHT NOW, as of the filing of the form, you don't have the vaccines and record to prove it. If you put yes, you'd be lying, even if, at the time of the interview, you'd have it. But, you're filing the form NOW. Just put no and state that by the time of the interview, you'll have gotten all required vaccines, and proof of them, at the medical. Simple as that.

Hi saylin ,,,, I won't to ask you question about my friend , he's live in Jerusalem and he's submit all paper to NVC with his address (Jerusalem) but , the NVC schedule his interview on March 3th in India (Mumbai)!!!! What can we do about this mistake????

Was his case number assigned for Jerusalem? In other words, what was the three letter embassy code at the beginning of his case number?

If the interview was JUST scheduled, then the case is likely still at NVC, so he should contact them IMMEDIATELY and explain the situation.

paid my aos fee on the 30st of january; showed up paid on the 5th of Feb. When should I expect my IV bill to be invoiced? DS261 was submitted quite a while back, while my case was on hold to get assigned to a new embassy. So basically, should I give them a call or wait a couple more days for the IV bill to be invoiced?

No need to mention the AOS at the beginning as that has nothing to do with the IV track. IV bill is invoiced after the DS-261 has been added to the case file. If you haven't called yet to inquire the status on the DS-261, then yes, do so now.

Called NVC today to see if they had reviewed my husband civil documents and the operator informed that they did and that they are only waiting on my AOS packet which I had mailed out next day (USPS) yesterday. Keep in mind, the tracking might not have updated yet. Give it some time. If, when the update does appear, and it was delivered after 3pm, then contact USPS and issue a complaint and a demand of a refund.

Getting closer now... i requested for an expedite a couple weeks ago and NVC hasnt responded to it, however, the process seems to be picking up momentum at this point which is good.

When you say NVC hasn't responded to your request, do you mean they never sent you an email acknowledging the receipt of your request? I ask this because, based on the timeline on my signature, my lawyer requested an expedited processing on 2/5/14 and we received a response from NVC on 2/7/14 (today) stating that my request my under review. Can you please clarify?

Ok I will definitely do that then. It's just that I wanted to make sure this is something that many people have done and it has been ok, and you have reassured me of that :-)

At first I thought it saying "no" even if you state you were getting vaccines and documents at medical was a risky thing!

Thanks again. Enjoy your weekend!

Nope, don't worry. They understand that not everyone has the vaccines; that's what the medical is for. And like I said, whether you say yes or no, it doesn't matter. As long as you have/get all the required vaccines at the medical, then you're golden :)
