thank you Saylin.. One more question..after we paid our AOS do we need to wait for the email what to do next? Last tuesday it says PAID and until now no email yet.

Sorry to say, but you've been wasting time since last Tuesday. As soon as the bill shows as PAID in the payment portal, you can send the AOS package.

I think it's time you review posts 1 and 2 ;)

Can you put in 'none' since the question is applicable (none > N/A for this question).

If you can't, just write it in when you print it out.

Called NVC this morning and gave mine and my husband's email address..got the case #, Invoice #, and benificiary ID....the operator wasn't the friendliest and seemed reluctant to give me the info but she still made my day and I let her know so lol. She mentioned that I still wouldn't be able to log in yet but I'm happy to get some progress.

Thanks for the info Saylin.

I have another question regarding the DS260 however only fellow Brits may be able to help.

When it asks for Parents place it birth it asks for city, state/province and country. Both my parents were born in London. Which is a city in United Kingdom but I have no idea what the province/state should be?

You can check the box "do not know" but there isnt one for "does not apply"

Thanks Guys

when sending in W7 for ITIN, tax returns are mailed with it. Do we send just federal with it, or does state go with it to?? If not then I have to wait to get ITIN to file state taxes. Tax system is weird in the states compared to ours, I over looked this part as I did not realize they had to be sent to different places, in Canada we just file and send to same address. Getting in a little ####### from the hubby on this, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here are my notes from our first time doing this:

-send the Federal form out with the notarized form at the back (maybe I meant the W7 here, don't recall)

-it takes 3-8 weeks.

-when we get a mail with the ITIN # assigned, THEN send in the state tax and send a copy of the federal tax form along with it.

-cross out the 000-00-0000 and put in the ITIN #, initial the change, and send it to the state.

Hope this helps!

Hmm, good question. Is there any way you can just leave the state/province blank or will the form not let you?
