how long does it take for 'supervisor review' I understant that's the final reveiew after the case complete. but how long will that take?

How do we know if we get case complete? Do they email or mail us a letter saying so? Thanks!

Just got case #! Finally!! The operator (Lisa) was super nice. She actually seemed excited for me! Got both #'s and gave emails. She said it would be 10-15 business days til I can do anything though. One more baby step towards the finish line!

If one wanted to, how would they go about cancelling/stopping there application/petition from being processed any further? Would they call USCIS or NVC? Would the petitioner or the beneficiary call?

I am using a joint sponsor for the AOS, my father. Should I use I-864 or I-864A? We do not live together but live a block apart.

Also: I saw somewhere that I need to provide proof that my father is my father, is this correct ? I do not see this in the Montreal EP guide but I do see that I need to provide proof of his citzenship.

I just got my # today and the nice lady told me it would be 10-15 business days until I could log in. She said they would send an email. Have you recieved any emails from NVC? Just have to be patient and wait. Again........... Wait........ We are all in the same boat together.

Hi all

I have 2 quick questions.

1. I'm getting my photos done to send with my IV package today. I have little bit of a beard which I didn't have for the I130 photos. It's very faint and little more than stubble. Is this ok?

2. How do people normally enclose the photos within the IV pack? Would it be ok to put all the documents along with the photos inside a plastic wallet so the photos don't accidently fall out at some point?

Probably silly questions but I'm just double checking.

1. Nope it doesn't matter. I went from normal brown hair to pink hair in my photos, from the beginning of the process to the end

2. I would suggest the following: put the two photos in a small plastic baggy. Staple the bag to a blank, white piece of paper (don't puncture the photos!!). Then include the piece of paper in the package, in between other papers.

should i start ds261 or wait for AOS bill to be available and start both ??

and do i have to print receipt of AOS bill and IV bill an also print 261 and 260 and send to NVC?

or if i submit it online it will be in my case file in NVC?

If you can fill out the DS-261, go for it! The DS-261 is part of the IV track and the AOS bill is part of the AOS track. Both tracks are independent and have nothing to do with one another. Please see the flowchart for a visual of this. It can be found in both my signature as well as post 1.

No, you don't need to print the receipts. You can for your own records. The same for the DS-261 and DS-260. Print for your own records. Since it's an online form, it gets sent digitally to NVC.

You're using IE to check, right? And just to confirm, you do NOT have any lawyer/attorney associated with your case?

If your case is at NVC, then contact NVC. I'm not sure if a phone call would be sufficient for cancelling, but you can ask the procedure over the phone. I'm guessing you'll have to email them. Don't think it matters who sends it.

Joint sponsor: I-864

No, since you're not in the same household, no need to show proof he's your father. You can include a copy of your birth certificate if you wish showing he's your father, but it's likely not needed. If you want to be safe though and cover all bases, go for it!

Proof of his US citizenship/residency is definitely needed though! A copy will suffice.

They added that wording a couple of years ago (sometime after I went through NVC). Technically, you probably don't need the cover sheet, but I'd still include it. Doesn't hurt.

Either or. But it'll be easier to read if it's filled out on the computer rather than hand-written. So, I suggest: fill it out, print it, sign/date it, then scan it in.

thank you Saylin.. One more question..after we paid our AOS do we need to wait for the email what to do next? Last tuesday it says PAID and until now no email yet.
