Maybe. I just got off the phone with NVC and still no case # and today is day 25. I love the part when they tell you that you have to wait 10 to 20 days after they receive your file for a number. When you tell them this is day 25 all you get is silence.

Anytime you ask them a curve ball question, you'll get that. If I were you, I'd quote their own wait times, then ask for a supervisor.

I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

I plan on calling again in 2 days and if no # I will ask for a supervisor. I have to say, I am real tired of this bureaucratic bs.

I've been researching but I'm so confused...

Can someone clarify for me?

My husband is my petitioner and we have his parents as joint sponsor(filing I864 & I864A)

Do they all need original/certified copy of passport/birth certificate to go with all the forms?

or just joint sponsor because my husband already submitted his passport photocopy with I-130?

also, we can't send original passport.

it means, the only option is sending original birth certificate?

On I-864EZ AOS form is asking for business state id# ? I'm a business owner, and i was wondering if that is employer identification number or ?

The State ID number is used to pay your sales tax and employee withholding on the state level

and is different from the EIN which is for federal employment tax deposits

how long it took your expedite request to be approved by the NVC and when did you submit it ?

my husband submitted it at USCIS november (expedite approved) got NOA2 then send again to nvc expedite approved last january. NVC just wait on my iv package to be received by them then they will go from there. is it possible to get fast interview schedule?

You must contact the embassy in Manila to find out what to do. The NVC cannot help you anymore.

ohhh i see...calling the manila embassy is good idea. thanks a bunch...

I am not going to call NVC till the 20th business day. Thy made me hold for 30mins. This thread makes me depressed as well. I really hate this waiting. This is just a bunch of bs ..

Only joint sponsors provide proof of US citizenship/residency. The petitioner doesn't include this. And it just needs to be a photocopy; it doesn't need to be an original/certified copy.

Please read the I-864 instructions again.

Ok, I know that you've probably answered this, and I'm sorry if you have to repeat yourself. But I've read and re-read the threads and especially posts 1 & 2, and have a few questions for my particular case.

I live with my grandparents. I don't have a job because I have no one to watch my kids and child care is too expensive here. My grandparents could not claim me and the kids on their taxes for 2012 as we were still living in the Netherlands but they will be for 2013. I had them both fill out an I864A (ahead of time to make things easier later) as household members. I filled out the I864. In order to prove our relationship, I have a copy of my mother's birth certificate and her marriage certificate, and then I'll have them include a copy of their birth certificates (for their citizenship proof) and their marriage certificate.

Did I screw up here? I keep checking, and rechecking, and I'm still uncertain. It's not an emergency now, as I don't even have a case number yet, but if any of you who've gone through it could give me some clarity on this, I'd really appreciate it.

Has it been 25 business days? Taking in account that they had a Holiday on the 20th? They keep telling me it's business days so they technically have until the 17th to give my husband and I our case number :(

just need help for me not to worry much)

just checking in...we are approved on expedite request, just submitted our iv package by husband...he sent it to expedite address on nvc...does it help getting our case complete papers fast and interview schedule close to this month? anyone who had ideas is greatly appreciated...

Did nvc instruct you to pay all fees first and submit all docs to them? If so, then just wait and call everyday to follow up on your case. They still have to review it before they forward it to the embassy. Obviously they will review it faster since it's an expedite. If they need additional docs, they will inform you. Once your case is complete, they will send it to the embassy in manila and when the embassy receives your case (you have to call them to confirm), then thats the time that you can schedule your interview.

Embassy in manila cant help you if they havent received your case yet from nvc.
