I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

today nvc invoice IV fees!!!!

its became not available to not paid but cant pay the fees when i click fees there no amounts to pay so i think i have to wait 1/2 days more.

but i am sooo happy !!!!

Hello to all!!!

On Feb 10 my application was approved from TCS. They sent it to NVC Feb 26. When should I start calling NVC for Case Number?

First of all, start calling NVC about March 10th to see if they have received your file. It seems to take about a week to get from Texas to New Hampshire. Then, count on about 20 business days (about a calendar month) between the receipt at NVC and the assignment of your case number.

My file was received at NVC on Feb 14. Called two times in the last two weeks, they said no case # yet. ( Last time was a few days ago. A lady said they'd contact me.)

This morning my husband (petitioner) received an email from NVC with the NVC Case Number, Invoice Number, and Beneficiary ID Number.

I didn't even have to call them and ask!

DS-261 was available, so I filled it out today.

12/11/13- Transferred to NSC

01/31/14- NOA2

02/03/14- Shipped to NVC

02/14/14- NVC received

02/27/14- Email from NVC, received Case Number, IID number, Beneficiary ID Number

03/01/14- Paid AOS fee

03/04/14- AOS fee shows PAID

03/07/14- AOS package sent from Australia

03/17/14- AOS package was delivered to NVC

03/14/14- IV bill issued by email

03/17/14- IV bill available to pay online - paid

My petitons (I-130 and I-129F) were approved on 26-Feb-2014.

An update from USCIS said both petitions were shipped to NVC for visa processing.

I called NVC today and the operator told me that usually USCIS don't send files when they say they do, but rather it takes them couple of weeks to send them.

So, which one should I believe? NVC operator or USCIS update?

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

I know this has been asked a LOT, but I have to file married for 2013, if I was indeed married, correct? My accountant doesn't want to do it because he says I'll get back so much less, and he is all "well file single and then amend it" but I'm pretty sure I've read thats the wrong way to to do things, and I don't want to get caught.

I also read that its possible to amend my tax return once he gets here and gets a SSN? But I can amend 2013 when he didn't make any $ in the US?

I just complete DS261 form and I got the confirmation email.But after that when I tried to log in in the form portal its showing me the error message and saying my case is the process of termination .Why its showing me that ?I am so confused please help me.

Good Morning everyone!

I have a question I am hoping you might be able to help me with. We received a checklist and returned it and the additional docs to the NVC on Feb 7, I just called and it was scanned in on Feb 12th. At this point I am guessing (if all goes well) we will have case complete in the next few weeks sometime. My question is, based on a case complete sometime beginning/middle of March is there any idea as to when we could expect to have our interview in Montreal? My sister is due to have her baby at the end of March and I want to plan a trip to see her but obviously need to be careful that the interview and trip do not overlap. Any ideas?

i didn't rcvd any confirmation email either,

i only rcvd email saying AOS and IV is invoiced.

you have to call them to know if its added to your case file.

Wow, only 14 days to get case # and IIN. Congrats. They were speedy with your case. Most people are waiting over a month to get case #.

Has anyone whose case was recieved by NVC on Jan 24th gotten their case number yet?

I have the same date when it was received by NVC Jan 24th but no case no. yet.. when i called yesterday i was told to call mid next week and i might get a case no.
