I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

.... so I'm embarrassed to say that yesterday I realized I made ANOTHER mistake on my I-864. I was reading someone's question about Part 2. Information on the Principal Immigrant, and realized I had actually entered my own information for the "Mailing Address" and "Other Information", thinking that it was actually part of Part 1.

I'm not gonna stress over it, dumb mistake... I've already sent a correction for another mistake so this time I'm just going to wait till the NVC sends me a checklist.

I just looked over mine and I did the same thing. I havent sent it in yet, so I can still change it but yes everyone please double check to make sure you didnt do this. Hopefully it doesnt cause any delays in your processing. Good Luck

I caught my husband did the same thing a few weeks ago, Luckly before submitting.

They need to change the format so that no one can be confused!!!

Well, technically you should wait. But, if you send the packages now, by the time they get to it, your case should be enrolled (since you sent the enroll email first), so it should be okay.

July 21 - received my green card (wrong expiration date and combined first and middle name, filed for I-90-correction) Aug 08 - applied for a state ID Sep 05 - biometrics appointment  Oct 09 - received my state ID Nov 03 - post decision activity (I-90 application) Nov 07 - card/document production (need to wait for 30 days for my new green card) Nov 10 - received the new green card (2 months & 5 days)

Certified copy =/= notarized copy. As another member said, a certified copy is a copy of the original from the issuing agency. If you can get a certified copy, I'd suggest sending that instead of the original.

Seems like the lawyer is still attached to your case if the IV bill was invoiced with the AOS bill. I'd call NVC up and tell them about you firing the lawyer.

Did you give over both email addresses when the case number was assigned?

And you use whatever last name your wife is currently using. If she legally changed her name to her married name, then use that. If she didn't change it, then use her maiden name. I hadn't (and still haven't) changed my last name, so I used my maiden name.

And I took NBC from your timeline. But I'm trying to use the service center the petition was approved at (as that's where the petition is being sent from), so I updated yours to California smile.png

Checklist for the DS-261 is a fake, based on them reviewing your AOS package.

Ah, just read up on the ITIN requirements. you're correct. this is turning out to be a big pain in the #### smile.png

If you can find an acceptance agent they will fill out the required forms for you and certify that they have seen the original passport and take a photo copy of it. This way you do NOT have to send in passport. This is what I did as I did not want to send in my passport.

I called NVC today, was told our file arrived on 24th ! not on system yet but i am super glad our case finally made to nvc.

our noa2 was 11th feb.

I called NVC today to ask for the status of my aos package as they received it on Feb. 4 and thank God! I'm so happy to hear the good news. The lady from NVC said it was reviewed yesterday and its fine. Haha but I wasn't satisfied with what she told me if it means done and complete so I asked her does that mean I don't have a checklist.. and she said no. I was afraid I might received a rfe but I didnt, yay! Although she did mention about me receiving a checklist also known as the false checklist asking me to send the IV package but she told me to disregard since I already sent it and I know for a fact that the NVC received it on Feb. 11, they just didnt review it yet. I will call them again next week for the other package and I can't wait to hear the "case complete" next time I give them a call.

getting a bit confused here with regards to AOS

were 3 in tis case, 1 spouse 2 minors

i-864 from husband

i-864 & i-864a from co sponsor

i-864w for my 2 minor child

do we need to provide 3 copies of tax trancript 1 for each form? does i-864w need be provided with tax transcripts too?

am sending it in 1 package, each case paper clipped barcode infront.

co sponsor still on vacation but we wanted this to be just one shot, no checklist.

Which service center was your I-130 approved from? And what are the dates for sending in your IV package and submitting the DS-260?

You need to update your timeline (specifically first two data points).
