Pls saylin I need a reply

I didn't reply the first time as I don't know. You'll just have to wait it out.

Hi guys!

Just checking in here. I-130 and I-129F approved on 2/19/14 from CSC. NVC hasn't received case yet. Please add me to the spreadsheet. Thanks!

Added!

hello everyone! just a question, we were so confused with the new i864 form for the mailing address, that is for who the petitioner or beneficiary? coz we cant put the beneficiary's address. and if it is for the petitioner the only information for the beneficiary is the name only? thanks

The I-864 is split into two columns. The right column is simply a continuation of the left column.

Hi Saylin, I got my i130 approval yesterday (26th Feb) so could you please add me to the Feb NVC sheet! Thanks….

Added!

Question, will I get a letter from the NVC stating what I need to provide (the reference to Police certificates is most important!)

Also, will the NBVC only case complete when they have received everything including the police certificates as I need to get one from Hong Kong and am not sure if they will need to send to the NVC or Consulate?

No, they don't tell you what's needed. They simply direct you to their website. If you need a letter to obtain a PCC, you'll have to send in the IV package without it. You'll then receive a checklist asking for the PCC. You can then use that.

Yes, NVC needs everything required before completing a case.

But when i checked this website http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/affidavit-support under the topic "How to File an Affidavit of Support" it is saying "If you are using the income of other household members to qualify, then each household member who is accepting legal responsibility for supporting your relative must complete a separate Form I-864A, Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member."

So in my case, my mother should use form I-864A, and I should use form I-864, right? Please help!!

I typically only recommend an I-864A for spouses of a joint sponsor. You can still both file an I-864. But if you wish your mother to use an I-864A, then by all means, do it. It's your case, not mine. I just give advice.

Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? DS-260

how can i answer this question without having my medical exam yet? but i think would be no?

If you don't have the required vaccines and/or have the records to prove it, then answer no. Explain you'll get it done at the medical. Simple as that.

OMG you are so helpful…..

So, in the first instance the NVC will send me a letter and direct me to the website right? I heard people used this letter (if it is the same one) and a print out of the list from the website.

So once i have this they will forward it to the embassy? (Along with the UK PCC?)

Is it optimistic to hope for case complete ~9 weeks from receiving case number? I'm ready with all paperwork and funds for fees as soon as NVC gives me the green light to get started. I see on the spreadsheet a lot of people have gotten through in 2 months, but this creeping backlog has me on edge unsure.png

Yup, so hopefully that works for ya then.

And yes, once the case is complete and an interview date is scheduled, NVC forwards the entire case to the embassy.

Hey guys.. just want your input in regards to the PCCS for the IV package.

I require 3 PCCs in total. The ones from Australia and Cyprus, will be sent directly to me so I have no problem with that, they will be included in the package I send to NVC.

However for the Greek PCC I need, that gets sent straight through to the US embassy in Athens. I wont be able to sent it to NVC.

On the NVC website, under Additional Embassy or Consulate Instructions, there is a PDF that states:

For residents in Greece, A PENAL RECORD FOR JUDICIAL PURPOSE is requested

NOTE: Penal records for JUDICIAL USE will be sent directly to the U.S. Embassy in Athens-they will not be sent or given to the applicant. Please do not obtain the penal record for General Use as it is NOT acceptable by the U.S Embassy.

Is it a good idea to print this out and include it with the IV package? Trying to avoid an unnecessary checklist!!
