How long before tax transcriots for 2013 be available to get online??

I believe Sukie had a post that described dates in good detail, but it is many pages back now... not sure how long ago that was now. If you scroll back maybe 2 weeks or so.

Just called NVC to clarify something about PCC required from India, She told me, "DO NOT send the Police certificate to the National Visa Center, your wife will bring that to Mumbai during her interview." I told her that the websites say PCC is required to be sent to NVC, she then tells me, "Sir, I am trying to help you, DO NOT send that to NVC, it will cause delays."

Anyone here ever hear of this?

I just wondered, had you already sent in your IV packet, and she meant not to send it on it's own? I suspect not, but am just asking.

We have case numbers! I was so excited that I forgot the years that my parents were born. Also I found out that they will not be interviewing in London. They will be interviewing in Dublin - does anyone by any chance have any experience of the Dublin embassy? I know that there is a place somewhere on VJ that I can look up interview wait time averages, but I can't remember where. I have to now look up and see where they should do their medical. We assumed all along as Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom that we would be in London. Immigration just loves to keep us on our toes!

I didn't understand (and congratulations by the way!), why you commented on nearly forgetting the years your parents were born. Do they ask personal information prior to giving case numbers over the phone?

Hello everyone!we received our NOA2 on feb 18th and I've started looking into the nvc process.

I've read the first posts from Saylin and I have one question: we will have a co sponsor, who is my husbands father. It says in the post that we will need my husbands birth certificate to prove the relationship with the co sponsor. Here is our question, do we send the original or a copy is enough? Thanks!

If a joint sponsor can be anyone, family or friend, I'm curious why a birth cert is required? Or is it just required when someone files the I864 and their spouse files the I864A?

Hello Saylin,

I am the petitioner (USC) and i live with my parents. My mother is a USC and my father is still a green card holder. Since i am not making enough money, i am going to include my mother's income too. So which form should me and my mother use for AOS?

Also my parents filed taxes as married filing jointly (MFJ). So do i need to include my father's income too?

And here I thought I was understanding most things... apparently notno0pb.gif I thought if the joint sponsor has a spouse who filed jointly, they HAD to provide an I864a.

Did I really get this wrong and get my joint sponsor's husband involved/ gathering documentation, unnecessarily??ohmy.png

OK - Now that I know my petition is at NVC, I'm trying to make sure I've got the I-864 nailed. I have two questions...

1. On Page 1, Part 2 is all about the Principal Immigrant. Is the Mailing Address (questions 2a - 2h) the place where my spouse CURRENTLY lives (in Australia) or should it be my address here in the States (where she will live once she immigrates, and where we want her Green Card and SSN card sent)?

2. I will be providing 3 years of tax transcripts. On Page 5, question 13, should I check this box (because it expressly says I'm only providing the most recent tax return), and check Box 14, as well?

Honestly, this document is so poorly designed!

Thanks.

Sukie

1. It's their current address. Where the green card will be sent is asked on the DS-260.

2. I checked both (we provided 3 years as well) and had no problems.

Guys I have 2 questions,

I'm the beneficiary living In India and my spouse is the USC petitioner living in California... My questions are,

1. Does the bar coded cover sheet for the AOS & IV packet appear immediately as soon as the payment is made, with a PRINT button at the bottom (like most online payment portals) OR do we receive the bar coded cover sheets, by a separate EMAIL which can be printed later at a convenient time?

2. Since I'm the beneficiary living In India, I intend to mail the IV packet to NVC directly from India. Can I get my wife's US credit card details over phone and make the payment on the NVC portal from India? Will there be any problems in printing the IV packet bar coded sheet if the payment is made using a US credit card from India? Has any one done this before and had and issues?

Can any one please throw some light on my above questions please?

1. Yes, it's available as soon as you pay. You can either print or email the 'Document Cover Sheet'. And you don't need to do either right away. You can always log into the payment portal at a later time and both options will still be there. It's not just a one-time thing.

2. Yes, you can pay from India. As long as it's from a US bank account, it doesn't matter where it's paid.

hmm guys... my husband is taking forever to pay the IV fee... he is getting paid tomorrow so i told him to go ahead and pay the fee online TODAY cuz theyd take a day to actually take from his account... what would happen if they dont find money there....

If there's no money, then the bill would appear as 'REJECTED' in the payment portal. You can then try paying again. Your case won't get denied or anything no0pb.gif

1. Yes the barcoded coversheet should be available after you make the payment.

2. Your wife could also sign in to the portal and make the payment. I think they only take money from Bank Accounts.

You did appoint your wife as the Agent in Ds261 ?

You need to find out for how long the PC is going to be good. I don't know about UK, but in our case my husband has all my civil documents ready to go, including my PC which is good for one year and we can get it online.
