NVC recieved our case on Jan. 08 also and still no case number yet.I just called earlier and the rep. said up to 20 business days,this is taking forever!ClockWatch2.gif

I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

My 20th day is tomorrow. Hoping for a # too! I didn't think it would take this long. At this rate we'll never make our 1 year anniversary. Sigh! I never thought this process would take OVER a year. I feel like crying. :( just having a bad day.

if i am in us than i can do this the problem is i am abroad with my husband and dont have computer to download this stuff so i want them to send forum to my home address in US than my parents will fill up those paper and send it to NVC

OK - so get to an internet cafe , or find one that you trust,

or find a new friend that has an internet connection inside of an office.

I would not rely on NVC sending forms to your address in the USA - they will do it, but it will go very slow, 2 to 3 months per thing.

The other bit that you'll have problems with ,

is that the DS-261 and DS-260 are online forms - the DS-3032 and DS-230 are no longer used.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I didn't see it anywhere so here it is..

Got my W7 all filled out to get ITIN sending it to my hubby to send in with his 2013 tax return. When his return is filed can we send a copy of his return with w2 and 1099 for the AOS or does it HAVE to be a tax transcript? I'm asking because it's going to take 6-8 weeks to get ITIN and taxes done so we can get tax transcript. Don't want to have to wait that long. Thanks.

Thanks! I went on IE and it's the same thing. No name under 'Applicant Name' and $0.00 for total amount selected...

I'm hoping it will pop up soon now though because I just got the email naming me the agent.

Yeah, if it's not showing up on IE, then it hasn't been invoiced yet. Just keep an eye out though (on IE) as it could be any time now.

Nope, it doesn't have to be the tax transcript (although they're much preferred). Just make sure you submit a copy of the ENTIRE tax return (1040, W2s, 1099s, schedules, worksheets, W7, etc). Then, for the interview, bring the tax transcript as by then, it should be available.

Yes, it's an excellent idea to call them to get status updates. And as long as you're not calling every single hour, they won't be ticked off. I recommend once a day.

hello everyone! just checking in and updating... last week i went to local congressman's office and asked for help and per immigration staffer they will follow it up. but on saturday feb. 1, 2014 i received a letter from uscis stating that they have sent our petition to nvc but no specified date when they have sent it. i will be calling nvc soon to follow up if they have received our petition so i can get this process going. wish me luck everyone !!!

So I'm pretty happy at the pace that NVC is moving so far. I just double checking though....I know since you send originals of the marriage & birth cert in the IV civil docs packet, that they get returned at the interview. However, we are planning to side-load with our Bona Fides evidence since we didn't do it during the I-130 process....if we provide originals of items there like photos, letters, ticket stubs, etc....they get returned as well, correct?

I like to scrapbook, so I would hate to lose some of those items! :-( I know those are "soft" evidences, we are also including some "hard" evidence too, joint banking statements, co-habitation rental agreements, etc...thats the boring stuff I'm not worried about...but the sentimental stuff, I have a hard time sending off in the mail.

I called the NVC to ask about my case that was approved back in December 18th of 2013. They told me that they have granted me an expedites request based on the hardship letter that I forwarded through my congressman. The only information they had for me is the issuance of a case and invoice number about a couple of days ago. When I asked about further steps, they said since I've been approved for an expedite, the case will be processed through the embassy in Amman, Jordan. I'm assuming I have to wait a couple of days for the case to reach Jordan.

However, does anyone know what's next or any of the next steps? Or what I should expect since NVC forwarded the whole case to the consulate in Jordan?

few minutes before 12mn,

was able to get thru and WOOOTTT....WOOOTT!!!!!

they probably pulled it out of the records and send it on. So give it a few weeks then start calling the NVC. If it's not there in the next 30 days, go back to the congressman's office and make a fuss! A big intellectual one!
