NVC Filers - February 2014

My i130 was approved on Feb 05th post which the papers have reached the NVC. I now await a case number being assigned. I am the beneficiary living in India.

I am schedule to vacate my apartment by Mid April. This is the address that I have given in my i130 application.

From this stage, what are the communications that will be mailed by post to my address for which having this address is very important? What I am concerned most is the interview letter because I am hoping that everything else will be done before mid April. Is it possible to keep all the communication via email instead of postal mail? And in the scenario where I have to notify the address change, would it lead it any complication that causes delay? Would be very happy if any of you can shed some light on this.

As long as you give over both email addresses to an operator once the case number is assigned, then all correspondence from NVC will be sent by email.

Finally got my NVC Case number after 6 weeks of waiting but they didn't give me the IIN and the girl told me to call 1-2 weeks. Seriously? Does anyone here have the same case like mine? Why do I have to wait for 2 more weeks? I thought I can get both the NVC case number and IIN when I called!

I am completing the DS261 right now. On the given names, i read somewhere here that First name and middle name have to be here. Did i read and understand it right?

Added! Please update your timeline. It states you're going through Armenia, which is contradictory to your profile. Not to mention the service center as well...

And call back up later tonight for the IIN, if not, tomorrow morning. It won't be another 1-2 weeks for the IIN

how did you find out NVC inputed your AOS into their system on Feb 18? I also mailed mine on the 12th and they signed for it the 13th...

Did you call and ask about the IV bill? The two reps I spoke to when mine wasn't showing up both said 5-10 business days from when the ds261 is accepted.

yeah. One representative told me that maybe on the thirteen they received it in the building but not in their system yet. Whats in their system is they received it on feb 18.

Here is a recent they were just like you and the K3 was ent to embassy and they had interview and it was cancelled when embassy saw the I-130 so they had the I-130 expedited (the embassy requested it).

Well go read for yourself. They got the CR1/IR1 last week

There's also another on VJ last week they did get the K3. It's hard to say what to do since the embassy seems to decide if NVC doesn't.
