Lol yes I wrote an email to them 02/03/2014 since I figured it was too early to call and was hoping that by the time they replied back they could at least tell me when they received my case... But this was their reply:Dear Sir/Madam:

Ah, ok, that makes sense then. It probably wasn't today they received your case. If you want the exact date, you'll have to call them up.

Ye m sort of confused about police clearance what to do now because if I wait for IV payment done it will be another month for waiting to get pcc done . Can i print out the page of IV n AOS processing page n can get pcc done? Is it possible????

I got my Indian PCC done within a day without any letter. Please check once again on letter requirement for Indian PCC. Try to discuss with PRO in passport office and explain your situation.

In case of Singapore, I need a letter to apply for Singapore Police certificate as I stayed there for 3 years. NVC replied that they will not issue such letter until they review IV package. We have no choice to expedite than to wait for the letter/checklist.

Hi to everyone!

Guys I really need you help right now.. Please help me understand this.. I went to my tax agent last week to file my tax. When she put in the my W2's, she said im going to pay taxes instead of getting refund. So she advised to wait for my to get to US and file my tax. She told shes going to file for an extension. Now, my atty ask me to bring him my income tax for 2013 and my W2. What am i gonna do? I didn't file my tax yet. Do I really have to file it now? Or i can show something else like my past income tax returns? PLEASE HELP ME.. Thank you in advance!

No need to panic, if u filed last yr just use the last yr taxes. If ur interview comes before u end up filing this yr just take the extension documentation with u/her to the intw.

wow have you not been able to pay your AOS and fill out the the DS 261 yet. I guess they are falling behind even on the little steps. You probably should have it by monday or tuesday based on other timelines. I got mine on 2/19 so I am at least a week behind you. uggghhhh! Good luck

Hehehe, yes you can! When it comes to this stuff i'm as serious as a heart attack!! That't the procedure, i'm sure there's more info on this in posts 1 and 2, it's just that i'm on my phone and it's a pain to get you a quick link. But it's normal until apr 15 u can use ur last yr tax info.

Do I have to file 2013 taxes before I can fill out the I-864 form?

No. Up until April 14th (tax deadline), you can still use 2012 as the most recent year. If for whatever reason you want to use 2013 as the most recent year instead (due to whatever reason), then yes, you can use 2013 as the most recent year as well. Both are valid options.

Keep in mind though: if you submit 2012 tax information as the most recent year and then your interview is scheduled after April 14th, 2013 tax information WILL be required at the interview.

Received an email from NVC today. Was worried upon reading the first page..looked like another checklist email but it goes like this :

We have finished reviewing your case. We will tell you when we set an interview

date for your case. Please do not contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS about your interview until we give you the date.

We saw that either your Affidavit of Support was incomplete, some of your

supporting documents were missing, or both. We have marked the missing items

on the checklist below.

You should send any of the missing items to LA ISLA BONITA so he or

she can take them to the visa interview. The Consular Officer will review the

missing items at the time of the interview.

Please pay special attention to any items related to the Affidavit of Support form.

If the checklist shows any problems with the form, you should complete a new

form and send it to LA ISLA BONITA.

If you do not send the missing information to LA ISLA BONITA, his or her

visa application could be delayed or denied.

1. Definitely not. An ITIN is only for tax purposes. It's not a SSN.

2. It's up to you whether you send them or not. As it states in the form, the other 2 years are optional.

I already added you, but you didn't exactly ask to be added. You just quoted me and wrote dates.

Yes, that's what that means. Could be a shorter time frame, could be a longer time frame. It's just their boilerplate time frame.
