Did you use Chrome to make payment?

I used Chrome and the payment didn't go through, and got rejected. I was able to make the payment again using Internet Explorer, after it showed up as rejected on the payment portal.

Hey! I sent a checklist response on Jan 28 and it took until February 12th for them to confirm recieving it. Since then there have been more closures due to weather, so just hold tight. I was panicking that they hadnt successfully recieved it but it all worked out fine.

Talk about a frustrating process! lol

Each package has their own 30 business day time frame. Doesn't matter if you send them together or separate, as they'll each go into their own queue. But, the benefit of sending the AOS package ASAP is that it'll be reviewed sooner than if you wait to send it with the IV package. The only benefit really of sending them together is that you'll save on a mailing envelope. That's about it.

thanks a lot Saylin, idea9dv.gif

Who gave you that information? My wife started the PCC process soon as her I-130 was approved. She got her passport reissued with my name on her passport and then got the PCC done. It took about 4 weeks to get everything done. Your spouse should go to passport office soon as possible and start the process. NVC will require the PCC to be sent with IV packet.

Which state are you in? If you had a police verification initially when you received your passport chances are you may get the PCC same day. Or make an appointment and visit the RPO and get the verification initiated. You don't need NVC letter or anything. I am waiting for my PCC as well to send with the IV packet. Hope this helps.

Apologies, let me restate my question. My company intends to transfer me to the US. What evidence do I need to show that my foreign earned income will continue in the United States to justify the use of foreign earned income as the ability to sponsor? Should there be a statement in my letter of employment with Japanese salary of intent to transfer to the US?

Azabu,

I would suggest that you ask your employer for a letter that has these elements:

1. Azabu-san is employed with <company name>.

2. Azabu-san joined the company in its <Japanese city> office at <date>, and holds the title of <your job title>.

3. Azabu-san's current salary is xxxxxxxxxxJPY, which is the equivalent of xxxxxxUSD.

4. As of <date>, <company name> intends to transfer Azabu-san to its US subsidiary located in <US city>.

5. Azabu-san's salary will remain at xxxxx USD.

6. If you have any questions, please contact xxxxx-san in <your Japanese city> at <Japanese phone number> or Mr./Ms. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx at <your US city> at <US phone number>

Be sure what you submit is a "wet" copy - meaning that it has an original inked signature by whoever signs it. If your Japanese writer has an inkan, put that on too - that makes it look very original!

Gambatte!

Certified documents for package IV should be notarized in US Embassy or that can be done with local offices in the country?

I don't think the us embassy will notarize anything. You have to go to another office. In my hubby's country we did most of that stuff at the ministry of foreign affairs. But I'm sure there are other places also. Hope this helps.

1. Should i enter my wife's ITIN number as her SSN on I-864ez ?

The 2013 transcript shows her SSN as her ITIN.

2. I know that its optional to send the previous 2 years transcripts. Should i send it or not ? Did people get a checklist for not sending ? The issue i see is that on the previous transcripts my status was single. ( I later filed amended once i was able to secure an ITIN for her )
