I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

Saylin, I did request an expedite. They have forwarded the info onto the embassy/consulate in Kiev. But most government buildings are being shut down now, and government officials are fleeing the country.

blink.png Wow, that bad? Well, hopefully someone can approve your expedite and hurry you on through the process, approve you, and then you can quickly immigrate out of there.

yeah its getting crappy pretty quickly. wife is thinking to travel somewhere else if it escalates further.... which sucks

Just got through finally-- they said they haven't recieved my AOS packet that I emailed on the 7th, but the operator said as long as i got the auto-reply e-mail I should be good. I didn't expect them to have looked at the IV packet yet (that was just sent friday).

he said 30 business days, where are my fellow Canadians so i can get an idea for EP?

Hey! I sent a checklist response on Jan 28 and it took until February 12th for them to confirm recieving it. Since then there have been more closures due to weather, so just hold tight. I was panicking that they hadnt successfully recieved it but it all worked out fine.

Talk about a frustrating process! lol

My expedite request was approved yesterday (2/19/2014) and CEAC status changed from "At NVC" to "In Transit" today (2/20/2014).

01/20/14 - DS-260 Submitted ONLINE

01/21/14 - Mailed All Supporting Documents (AOS & IV Package)...Waiting game begins

Yes it is allowed. The risk you run is if the payment doesn't clear the bank, so it is suggested that you at least check that your payment goes through your bank before sending.

yes it shows pending in the bank. account was debited. alright then i will send the docs tomorrow.
