Just got through finally-- they said they haven't recieved my AOS packet that I emailed on the 7th, but the operator said as long as i got the auto-reply e-mail I should be good. I didn't expect them to have looked at the IV packet yet (that was just sent friday).

he said 30 business days, where are my fellow Canadians so i can get an idea for EP?

This is the link. It is found in her signature.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtbvTEwLyHz1dDhjM3lXTEl1cW1SbjRwdW9YRGlIanc&hl=en#gid=0

It's a spreadsheet that she maintains that is extremely valuable in seeing processing times of each step in the NVC process.

Just request in a post to be added.

Its really a list of all her NVC children that she has carefully guided along the path to "case complete" smile.pngsmile.pngsmile.png

yes .. i gave my petitioner aadress in that question is that ok? and i gave my petitioner email address in ds 261 not the benificiaryso that he will acess the fees and intsruciton easily is that ok? i just submitted the ds 261 today. but when i called nvc i gave the benificiary email.

Selecting the petitioner as agent is fine, and typically recommended. Make sure NVC has BOTH email addresses on file though. If only the beneficiary's was provided, call back up and give over the petitioner's.

paid aos bill last feb14.. up to now it's still in process.. how long does it take to show that its paid?

Typically a few business days. But remember, Monday was a holiday and they were closed for most of Tuesday (and I think yesterday a bit too?).

Btw, anyone who has done this, what will I need to prove this?

Or is it better for me to use my father as a joint-sponsor? (In that case, how do I do that, given that his residence and mine are different.)

There's a question/answer on post 2 about evidence to send to show US domicile.

And the joint sponsor doesn't have to be in the same household as you. They don't even have to be in the same state. As long as they're a US citizen/resident, they qualify.

I have a question: once the case number is assigned, does it mean the embassy I will go for interview is assigned? Even if I changed my address to another country after that?

The three letter code at the beginning of the case number signifies what embassy/consulate you're going through. If you move to another country though, yes, you can change the case number. You'll just have to contact NVC and it might take a week or two for them to change it.

Hi,

does anybody know: if the police record and birth certificate of the beneficiary needs to be in English? I am asking because US embassy in Slovakia sent me email yesterday that i can send originals - in Slovak language to NVC. However, NVC website says it needs to be translated into English. I guess this should be all i need to send to NVC as beneficiary.

Also the 2 pics needs to have 5x5 cm size, correct?

Does also petitioner need police record and birth certificate + 2pics?

Is this the only # (603) 334-0700 to find out our NVC case #?

Thank you.

Please see the FAQ in post 2 about translations.

The two pictures need to be 2" x 2".

The IV package is about the beneficiary, not the petitioner.

Yes, that's the only number.

Please go back and read posts 1 and 2. You're missing valuable information.

Saylin, I have a question.

I can't find my vaccination card and the hospital doesn't have any record either.

Do I have to get done with all the vaccinations again before the interview date?

Thanks

If you know you've gotten the vaccines, you can get an antibody titers blood test done. It basically checks your blood to see what you're immune to. You can then take those results to the panel physician, in lieu of a vaccination record (as long as it shows you're still immune to those vaccines, if it doesn't, you'll need to take the vaccines again).

Hi is it posible that the aos and iv are invoiced at the same time?because i filled up ds 261 last night nd when i checj the paynebt pirtal it says

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."),

And iread the faq by saylin that if the ds21 states this after filled up then the iv is in process of invoicing it how about the aos it is also not available .is there a chance that aos and iv will invoiced at the same time? Thank u

The only time the AOS and IV bills are invoiced at the same time is if you have a lawyer/attorney attached to the case. In that situation, they're already automatically selected as agent, so no DS-261 is needed.

The error message you're getting is likely based on the AOS being invoiced; definitely not the DS-261 as you just submitted that last night. NVC still has to get to your DS-261, accept it, and add it to the case file. This takes a week or two at the minimum. Then it's another few business days after that to invoice the IV bill.

Next steps can be found on posts 1 and 2. Read them.

The BIN used to be for the online forms, but since they became required by everyone, they removed the BIN. So, it's no longer used.
