I've never had anyone be anything but nice to me at NVC. They've been courteous, answered my questions...they were nice people. One guy helped me with a question about my I-864 that even my accountant

NVC has really slowed down this last few weeks.

they still have not accepted my DS261 which was done on Feb 5th.

Called again today and was told they got my case on Feb 10.

Here's to hoping I get a case number in another two weeks or so! (She told me 20 business days, and that seems to be the trend here as well)

July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!

Does anyone else have issues calling NVC? I wonder if it's skype. I have to try calling almost 20 times before it goes through. It doesn't even ring, it just says "no answer" on my skype.

I have calling also, it sounds busy all the time.

I just assumed this was the approval! Sorry for being such a dummy and thank you :)

Dept. of State is the same as NVC right?

The IV bill is based on NVC accepting and adding the DS-261 to the case file. Due to the recent holidays and weather closures, they've obviously fallen behind and are in a backlog, so time frames are gonna be a little longer.

One more thing, I filled out my DS-261 last feb.4 ut until feb.17 we still don't have our IV fee available so then I reviewed my form and found out I made a mistake with the country of my husband (agent) that should be US instead of Philippines so I edited it and sent it again and had a acceptance letter again like the one we had before. would this be a problem? and will cause a delay?

Nov 5 2013: NOA 1Priority date

Dec 11 2013: NOA2

Feb 4: DS-261 available (choice of agent) mistakes done

Feb 6:AOS fee generated

Feb 7:AOS payment

Feb 10: AOS Paid

Feb 18: DS-261 submitted (2nd time)

Yes! I'm giving it about 7 working days before I start calling NVC. I live in the Northeast, and I understand how the weather has probably affected that office! Got three more inches of heavy wet slop today!

I use Skype to call and it makes no sound when its busy. This lasts about 12 seconds for me then it automatically disconnects.

Your Skype is working. It seems the weather is causing all the problems there and we can expect some additional delays in the short term.

December 21, 2011 - Got Married in the Philippines

December 21, 2012 - Went back in the Philippines for first anniversary.

June 11, 2013 - I-130 sent

June 17, 2013 - NOA1

November 21, 2013 - Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center

December 5, 2013 - I-130 approved via email

December 9, 2013 - receive hard copy of NOA2

receive email that case was shipped to NVC

January 6, 2014 - NVC received the case ( no case number yet )

January 29, 2014 - Receive case number, invoice and beneficiary ID number

February 7, 2014 - DS261 available online and submitted

February 10, 2014 - received an email regarding AOS processing fee bill invoice

February 10, 2014 - was able to pay AOS online

Februay 12, 2014 - AOS showed PAID on line/ AOS package sent ( one day delivery)
