No. You need to call NVC to find out when your case is received.

Added! When did you mail the AOS package?

Just came of the phone with the NVC and they received our I-129F and assigned a case number + invoice. The I-130 might take a bit longer.. As the I-130 overrules the I-129F its wise NOT to pursue the K3 visa as this might end up costing you a lot of extra money (adjustment of status).

Cheers

Hello VJ!

Question.. how would I know if my DS-261 is ready to be fill out? Will they let me know or there is a website I can go and check? Thank you!

You can check the online forms portal to see if the DS-261 is available. Please read the first two posts in this thread.

Thank You Saylin for a quick reply..

I have question for you.. when i went to my tax agent to file my tax, she told to me wait for my wife to get here before filing it so I can get more.. coz if I file it now i will be paying taxes. Now, my question is, will this effect my AOS if the ask for it? or can i juz provide the last 3years of my income tax?

Please read the bottom of post 2. Until April 14, the tax deadline, 2013 tax information isn't required at NVC.

The IV bill is based on NVC accepting and adding the DS-261 to the case file. Due to the recent holidays and weather closures, they've obviously fallen behind and are in a backlog, so time frames are gonna be a little longer.

I'm not exactly sure what your question is. Do you have an alias or something?

Ola !

I have a legal name + an alias ( the alias is a middle initial added to my legal name)

In a country where Police Clearance is only granted based on ONE national ID AKA passport - I cannot obtain a Police Clearance for that alias.

Will the NVC require a Police Clearance for every alias ?

What can I do if I get a RFE from NVC for this ???

You'll just have to send what you have and see what they say. I doubt just a middle initial will be a difference, but who knows.

thanks saylin :-)

I guess I will wait for a couple weeks before calling them because I just received the notification about the 130 on feb 14 but the 129f on feb 15.

I would rather let the 129f expire then because it's irrelevent at this point.

Does anyone else have issues calling NVC? I wonder if it's skype. I have to try calling almost 20 times before it goes through. It doesn't even ring, it just says "no answer" on my skype.
