Hi everyone,

My wife has her interview date scheduled for February 10. We both are so excited!!! biggrin.png She has been preparing by looking at potential questions she could receive. Can someone tell me if there are any other docs my wife should bring apart from what is listed below?

-I-130 application photocopy

-I-864 Packet documents (I-864 Application, Income tax, Proof of employment, pay stubs)

-IV Packet documents (Passport photos, Passport, Birth Cerificate, Marriage Certificate, Police Certificate)

-Medical results

-Interview letter

-Courier letter

-4 additional passport photos

Also, how many months does my wife have to move after getting approved for the green card?

Last question, my wife and I were thinking of traveling to Asia this fall. Will that cause any issues when at US customs?

Thanks in advance!

Proof of Bona Fide Relationship: Phone logs/Bills with call history, Wedding Pics, Honeymoon Pics, Pics together, Joint bank accounts (if available), Life insurance where petitioner is the beneficiary(If available), skype, google hangouts etc.. The whole nine yards. :-)

She needs to come to the U.S with in 6 months after getting her approval.

I am not sure about the third question. If she gets her actual GC before that time then no issues. Else i believe you can take an Infopass at USCIS office and get a stamp. Not sure though.

Do we need to take copy of I-130, G325A & I-864 documents as we have already submitted? Also I have 1 years call records...do I need to take a print out of the entire thing? (or only of those pages where my husbands number is there?)

We have exchanged many emails....can I take copies of those?

I bet they will ask for I864, W2 and most recent tax return (2012). Not taking I-130 but make sure your wife knows what was written on I-130. We are taking copies of Phone records since the time we got in to this relationship. More the better. Who knows what they might ask. :-)

Yes, bring proof of your relationship, though they probably won't bother looking at it.

It's been a while since our process, but I'm pretty sure her medical results still need to be valid for her to cross the border, so she has 6 months from her medical exam to move, NOT from receiving the visa.

When you cross the border, your wife will get a stamp that functions as her green card for up to a year, so traveling shouldn't be a problem even if production of her green card is delayed. But my husband received his in the mail just a few weeks after he arrived here, so she will in all likelihood have it in hand before the fall, and then everything will be smooth sailing until it expires. :)

We got approved!!!! My wife and I are super excited!!! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

I have a question. My wife and I were actually now planning to travel to asia beginning of July. The sticker on her passport indicates that it will expire on July 16, 2014. If we were to travel and she has not received her green card yet, will that cause problems when returning to USA with the visa on her passport being expired (We were planning on returning end of July)?

Hi everyone,

I have a question and would appreciate if someone could help me answer it. My wife will be moving in May to Texas but she plans to go back to Canada (where she currently lives) for a wedding in early June? Will that cause any problems at customs when she flies back to Texas mid June? Thanks!
