Naw man, say what you want. I married my wife because I want us to be together for the rest of our life. If we have kids, cool, if not, cool.

Marriage is about companionship. Kids are a result of companionship and no birthcontrol.

Marriage has nothing in the world to do with companionship.

I can have all the companionship I want and never walk a marriage isle. (perhaps even more)

When we strip it all away you realize without the concern for the rearing of children, there is no real need for marriage, it's merely a tradition based on the need I just mentioned.

If you couldn't get married,...... would it have changed your relationship, your commitment, your love?

Right now, we are living on the marriage fumes from a not long ago time, when marriage had a purpose.

Soon it will be like wearing that shinny green hat on St. patty's day.

The only thing that will keep the tradition alive at all will be the business interests and lets face it, women love to get dressed up and be the center of attention.

That bumper sticker highlights the dirty little secret. That if it could ever be proven that Gays are really designed that way genetically, they would be testing for it and guess what that would mean for a whole lot of people? (Abortion time)

Don't kid yourself either.

You know how Libs love Blacks so much yet when it comes to buying a house and getting a good deal .... how they pass right over those good deals to get in a "Good school district" (code word for- whiter)

I'm betting their hypocrisy doesn't end at where they live....

the same thing would be true with having a kid. DO they really want their only child to be gay?

I gotta feeling the only pregnancies testing "gay" which might see the light of day would be from Christian families (ironically) ..... you know the same ones who decline aborting kids who are retarded or might have health problems?

Cool bumpersticker,

would love to "see" how the Left answers the question.

Disgusting extremist opinion.

What kind of marriage are you in? Seriously Danno, you have the most archaic view on marriage I have encountered in a long time. Marriage has a purpose today and it has evolved so that women have an equal say in what the marriage is and should be, they are no longer chattels of men. This is a good thing, not a bad one. Companionship, mutual interests, love, these are all things that bind the modern marriage. If you can find more companionship outside of your marriage than in it, you seriously are the one who shouldn't be married, not us.

That's putting it mildly.

What you describe is your personal take opinion on your own marriage. Perhaps your marriage has nothing to do with companionship and perhaps you would not have a real need for marriage. You are free to believe in those views and live by them as they apply to you, but it would be terribly disingenuous to presume your predicament should apply to all, because it does not.

It sounds to me as if you are claiming, without a marriage ceremony you could not manage to have

-Companionship with your other

-Mutual interests

-Love

Q: Why do you need marriage to have that in a relationship?

While I appreciate your effort, please try one more time and tell me specifically what marriage brings to your relationship that you otherwise could not have?

That is absolutely none of your business. I don't define my marriage by that of anyone else. My marriage is between me and my spouse; hardly a subject I would discuss with anyone else. I can tell you however it does NOT bring to my life any of the nonsense you mentioned in your post, all of which clearly applies to your marriage.

I have no idea why you think that's what I claimed. If you do, then I would suggest you try re reading what I actually posted because I didn't say anything even remotely like that.
