renewal of EAD

Hi, had AOS interview yesterday and got the dreaded approval subject to FBI check

In Sept I got an interim 3 month EAD through a infopass appointment and because it was near to my interview date I decided not to renew it, thinking I might get my g/c (boy was I so friggin disappointed).

Anyway started to fill out new I-765 and firstly they ask because it's a renewal, to attach previous EAD which I have not got because the interviewer took it from me.

then question 11 asks for you to attach all documentation ???? ####### I have nothing.

I intend just to explain the reasons on an additional paper.

Will this suffice

and where does this get sent to

Yes you can explain because I had a similar situation and just wrote a letter with explanation

A written explanation will have to suffice - it's the best you can do. The interviewing officer should not have taken your EAD unless they were able to approve your adjustment.

Further, under current USCIS policy you should not have been scheduled for an interview unless the FBI checks were complete.
