F2A case complete with non-current PD

Hi all,

My PD is 09-09-2013 and right now I have submitted AOS and IV package and waiting for Case complete. It puzzles me that i got this far with a PD that is not current. I have seen a couple of people with similar or close PD to mine but they have not gone past IIN and Case number!

Is there anybody there who has similar experience?

I guess you are the only one and you been so lucky the only thing yo have to wait for now is your pd to be current, I waiting my pd to be current too to start my NVC process

I am actually waiting on mine to be completed. I would have been if i didnt get an AOS checklist which entered into their system on Jan 15, 2014. Any time now I should get case completed.

Thanks Bloomfield, nice to hear you have similar experience. i think nvc would process your case if you PD is before 15th of SEP 2013 for some unknown reasons. I can remember reading somewhere that Priority Dates can only be 8th, 15th, 22nd and 31st of the month. So perhaps NVC would treat 8th of SEP as 8th-14th of SEP or so. Well we might be lucky, our case may even get past CC . Fingers really crossed.

Yeah you right i read it on their site about the dates you mentioned however i am curious if its the ones up to the 15 they processing or up to the 22. I called to find out what qualified date meant and they told me that means their is a visa available. I do hope for it to be current in the next bulletin... I am anxious..

Check the case complete thread. Another Member DSCR with a PD of Sep 11th i think got CC. Not sure if he/she got their I/L. When did you send your AOS and IV docs?

Just looked at your timeline. So your docs were received on 8th of Jan. You should hear from NVC by Feb 8th. they take about 20 business days if you are lucky or 30 business days to look at your docs.

I now have a NVC case complete and did have a current PD now its back to April12 and my PD is Feb13.

what are the possibilities for such cases whose PD is non current but case is complete by NVC? i.e cases whose PD is from 9th sept 2013 to 15th sept 2013 (grace quota)

Unfortunately, nothing can be done to such cases until the Cut-Off advances. Our best bet is if the retrogression prediction doesn't happen and the PD advances gracefully which is more like wishing for a dead horse to gallop. Judging by the past bulletin, the predictions are always right. However, by October this year, it is expected that once again the Cut-Off date will start to advance because then it will be a new fiscal year with fresh visa number allocations. So it depends on how far back the retrogression goes for us to estimate the possible time for us to be current.

I'd say we just keep our hopes alive, anything can happen.
