Administrative Processing - Updated with new date?

Our application had been sitting at the embassy as "Administrative Processing" since the 22nd of January. Suddenly the date changed to 30th of January but the status stays the same. What does it mean? Does it mean we are getting close to approval or denial?

History:

Interviewed on the 14th of January, counselor asked for the "Original Birth Certificate", he kept the passport and returned all the originals.

Submitted the Original Birth Certificate on the 22nd of January.

I'd call the DOS and then call the embassy to check on the status. From the post above, the new document that you gave the embassy needs to be reviewed before visa being issued. Cases and embassies are different but it took about a month in his case.

Call DOS and find out if they have entered the new document in the system.

They already have the document in the system, this was verified back in 22nd with DOS.

Just received an e-mail from Embassy (don't know what took so long for me to receive the email, maybe an issue with my email or the email client) that states, "The case is currently reviewed by the Officer. Once a determination has been done, your wife will be contacted." I hope this is a positive sign.

I wish you a good luck, but in administrative processing case you have to be patient, it’s just a timing game. Like no matter how you email them or try to expedite it, it leads you to nothing. And every case is different; it could take days, months, and years. My case has been under AP for over a year and I couldn’t do anything about it, every time I’ve contacted them they send me the exact same email. But don’t give up, continue contacting them and make sure your case doesn’t become lost in the system.
