Hi,

I entered the US on a K-1 Visa in November. Due to discovering his continuous infidelity, I returned to Canada six weeks later. What, if anything, do I need to do to let USCIS/Vancouver consulate know that I left the country?

Thank you in advance for the information.

You should contact the USCIS at: National Customer Service Center 1-800-375-5283 and inform them what you have stated here. That you changed your mind and do not plan to marry, and that you have also returned home to Canada. They will probably tell you to submit your request in writing that you personally request the petition to be withdrawn.

Divorce him if you got married. Other than that you could write a letter, notarized, to USCIS to inform them you will not be AOSing.

Just FYI -- we never got married.

My condolences to you as I know this isn't easy. Make sure you contact the USCIS immediately to let them know what happened and that you are no longer in the USA. As Baron stated, you will need a notarized letter with a brief explanation. Follow the direction of the USCIS. This is important as it will prevent any future misunderstanding about when you arrived and when you left and why.
