As to your question.

At U.S.C.I.S. there is no need to send any original documents other then those rwequested that need to be signed with an original signature. Later on on the process, there will be a time when these documents are requested, but that does not occur till you are filing papers with NVC following approval of your I-130(NOA2)

So at this point you may choose to send certified copies, but in most cases are retained by USCIS and then you will be rwequired to attain another copy of those documents from your wife. If she is close to the NSO office, this is usually very easy to do. But if she lives too far away and wants to retain these, send copies only, need not be certified at this point. I was told by her family just to have my wife get three copies of everything to send here, and has saved me a lot of doing, and several others should "something" happen, and they are lost or otherwise. But you are clear for now, and for future referance, try to have her send you 2 or 3 copies of everything just in case.

I just sent regular photocopies, that's all that's required. But you've already been approved - so there's really no need to worry!!

You will need certified copies at the next stage.

I sent Minolta copies because we did not have a Xerox machine.

If they wanted certified/notarized or some other action done to the documents then they would have stipulated it.

Photocopies. They don't have to be Xerox - Kodak, Kyocera, any brand will do as long as it makes decent copies.
