Affidavit of support, can I self sponsor?

In regards to the i-134 (affidavit of support), is it possible to just show proof of what I have in my accounts? As I have been working and saving, and I am going to support myself anyway, whereas my fiancé is a recent college graduate. Or will I still need to have the affidavit of support signed by her. Or should I get her brother or dad to cosponsor me?

Many thanks

You can't sponsor yourself. You can get her brother/father to co-sponser you but in all cases she AND the co-sponser need to fill out the form.
The petitioner always has to fill out the form regardless of income.

In your situation you could get her brother or father to co-sponser you on the basis that you give them your word you have enough to take care of yourself.
However they should know that if something does happen the sponsor and co-sponser will be held reliable financially.

I hope this helped and good luck :)

Which country? I know US embassy LOndon, UK, allows self sponsorship but they are an exception.

You may need to transfer your savings into a US based account held jointly with your fiance.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It will be at the London embassy, so I should just show funds in my account and the account i hold with my fiance?

Also should I even bother to tell my fiancé to send the i-134?

Thanks so much for all your help.

But do you think statements of my account is ok? Or should I get the i-134 anyway?

You as the US citizen petitioner HAS TO send a I-134.

I am no expert on London, but from what I read on here you may be ok. Do an Advance Search and find others who self-sponsored through this embassy to see what exactly they did.
