I think it's quite relevant to ask people who are bringing loved ones to the USA from other countries what they think about this idea that immigrants (in general) are diluting the US to its detriment.

I think nearly all can patently say immigration which unites spouses and children is a given as well as certain needed skills.

The problem with the mass immigration of today is we are a different country now. The immigrant of lore, came here and either sank or swam and I think 1/4 or 1/3 actually returned home.

If you welcome an even bigger Gov't, mass immigration is a great tool to that end, as most of the people who are coming now vote overwhelmingly for the party of big-gov.

But all that aside, how does a country spend 25 years dismantling our manufacturing base and at the same time import (or allow to walk in) tends of millions of mostly low or unskilled people?
