AOS question-applied in March,2013 and it still says acceptance-is it normal?

I sent out the package in March, around 20ish...And still the status is acceptance, it has been almost 1 year and I am still waiting :-(. I used the e-request but it says the information I provided was unclear so that they could not give me the info.

So anyone had such experience before? Is it worth to give uscis a call? I tried once and it was such a waste of time (basically just recommended me to use the useless e-request). You think I should just wait or should I make another phone call and maybe talk to a director?

Any suggestion is appreciated,

Lynn

Have you at least done biometrics? Did you apply for EAD/AP at the same time and did you receive those?

Waiting since March for a green card (or interview waiver) is unusual but not unheard of -- but if you didn't even get a biometrics (fingerprinting) appointment, then THAT is scary and wrong, that should have been done in April or May at the latest.

Relationship since April 2006

K-1 Visa: I-129F filed November 6, 2012, NOA2 May 17, 2013, Interview and Approval July 24, 2013

POE San Diego, September 13, 2013, Wedding October 25, 2013

AOS filed November 19, 2013, EAD/AP received January 30, 2014, interview and AOS Approval on February 27, 2014.

ROC filed December 3, 2015, NOA1 12/4/15, Biometrics 12/31/15, ROC Approval on June 16, 2016, 10-Year Green Card received June 22, 2016.

N400 filed September 14, 2023, same day acceptance and Biometric Reuse notice, Interview on 2/13/24: Passed and same day oath. ALL DONE WITH USCIS.

No RFE at any stage, thanks to VisaJourney!

They cashed the check within the first week they received my package, and 5 months later, in August they sent me a letter saying I am a potential interview waiver candidate, and so there will be a delay but will hear the decision within about 6 month of time. So next month will be the 6th month. I have already filed another request through the Uscis call center and now considering going to make an appointment if still not hearing anything from them by the end of next month. I have already got my EAD in May.

I filed for AOS on December 6th 2013, had my biometrics a month later on January 13th 2014 and received a letter today confirming my green card interview date as March 4th 2014, so it has moved incredibly fast for me though I am yet to receive my EAD Card (im anticipating that I should receive notification that it is in production in the next week or two). I know each office has its own unique timelines on how fast or slow applications are processed. My USCIS office is Memphis. Is there a way you can check the standard timeline for your particular office?

Day 0 - 12/06/2013 - AOS package mailed

Day 4 - 12/10/2013 - Hard copy NOAs received in mail (x4)

Day 10 - 12/16/2013 - Biometrics appointment notice received

Day 37 - 01/13/2013 - Successful Biometrics appointment

Day 46 - 01/22/2014 - Online status changed to "testing and interview"

Day 52 - 01/28/2014 - Received hardcopy of interview notice for 03/04/2014

Thanks! But not sure if its a coincidence or it is the time, the day after I called UCSIS to file a service request, my status changed from Acceptance to Card production. So I guess for those ones who have waited for more than 8 or 9 months, it wont hurt to make a phone call to USCIS...

Your Memphis office is now processing July 11 if to watch the USCIS page.

Your story can show that processing times are a myth and excuse for those who waiting long time, it\s all about security checks time. one only reason foe delays.
