Again, I think what the government did was wrong, but loose lips sink ships. How will what he did benefit the average Joe? Again, I think what the government did was wrong.

The government is having to justify the blanket hoovering of data. They are discovering that having access to so much data is a pointless waste of time. We will benefit from more targeted spying and no big brother (an actual justified use of the term) snooping in data that has no relevance to US security. We all benefit.

I will say that I don't think he should have won it because as a practical matter I don't think being the head of the military garners anyone a Nobel Peace prize irregardless of who that person is. Seems counter intuitive to have him among the ranks of Dr. King, Bishop TuTu, Dalai Lama & Mother Theresa for the simple fact that we need him to give the order to execute military options in war.
