So what exactly did Obama do before during the full year up to being selected for the prize? Most of the country had never even heard of him before he began running for president.

Nevermind, I found some of his pre-presidential accomplishments here:

Wow you're like a communist. You quote a fox news source (I use the term news loosely) without giving credit because clearly you wouldn't want people to read the editors note to what you posted.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2009/10/09/tommy-seno-obama-nobel-prize-win/

Here is the full link to what you posted, and here is the editors note before the mindless drivel that comes after it which says EXACTLY what I said that there is a time period between nominations and who actually wins.

Editor's Note: Although President Obama had only been in office for 12 days before the nominations for this year's Nobel Peace prize closed the entire process actually takes a full year. According to the official Nobel Prize Web siteexternal-link.png invitation letters are sent out in September. Every year, the Norwegian Nobel Committee sends out thousands of letters inviting a qualified and select number of people to submit their nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize. The deadline to submit nominations is February 1. -- Two hundred five names were submitted for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, 33 of which are organizations. A short list of nominees is prepared in February and March. The short list is subject to adviser review from March until August. At the beginning of October, the Nobel Committee chooses the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates through a majority vote. The decision is final and without appeal. The names of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates are then announced."

Anyway I'll give you a B for effort in Propaganda 101.

A communist? You might want to look up the definition. I don't think satire is in there.

agreed!

Are you guys sure you're not all confusing Edward Snowden with Scooter Libby? I can't think of a single case of Americans lives, anywhere being put at risk thanks to anything Edward Snowden leaked on the internet, yet some people have him tried and convicted without him ever seeing the inside of court room.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper doesn't agree with you.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper doesn't agree with you.

He would say that, now wouldn't he? If you don't mind the government listening in on every conversation and someday deciding to use any information gathered against anyone it doesn't like or agree with, then I guess you might not like people such as Edward Snowden either.

First Obama gets the prize for basically winning an election, and now this. What a joke that prize has become.

Note surprising. That price has been a joke for years

People with classified information aren't supposed to reveal it. What the government did was wrong. Two wrongs don't make it right. He is a traitor.

How do you correctly 'out' something like this? What the US government was doing was wrong, wasteful and counterproductive and is being shut down thanks to Snowden. He may not be everyone's favourite poster boy but what he did will benefit your average Joe Citizen. I personally am grateful for his actions and do not think that this has done anything negative for US security, in fact it may even have helped improve it by removing a lot of white noise.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Again, I think what the government did was wrong, but loose lips sink ships. How will what he did benefit the average Joe? Again, I think what the government did was wrong.
