First time venting... I'm so mad and upset right now: so many families kept apart, for so long, under so much emotional/ financial stress, and officials are responding to THIS?!

I guess this attention might be an opportunity. I wonder if should mobilize and get a petition going on that site. Looks like that's what it takes.

I believe the administration has agreed to respond to any petition that reaches 100k supporters. We could get 100k supporters to say everyone should have to wear a mummified salmon as a hat, and someone would likely respond to it.

From the articles, it sounds like they probably wouldn't deport him - but would be lovely if after leaving the country and attempting to return they opt to refuse him entry.

Get a 100,000 people to sign your petition about the backlog.

Why get mad when 100,000 people sign another petition about Bieber? Don't those 100,000 people have a right to have their position to be considered by the US government?

People signing another petition does not prevent you from getting people to sign a petition about the backlog.

What petition? I wasn't "whining" about a petition. I'm not mad at people signing a petition, I'm mad at the White House for holding a campaign on Twitter today claiming to answer people's questions. I'm mad at the White House for holding a live chat on Facebook and again ignoring questions that specifically asked about the I-130 backlog.

I think this is a venue and one that apparently gets the government's attention. I think we should use the Bieber publicity to draw attention to our situation, which I personally and strongly believe is more serious than a celebrity mishap is.
