Would an Immigration Attorney / Lawyer in India help in anyway ?

I am in India, myself and my dad who is a USC is not upto date on the Immigration things. My date is expected to be current in July 2014 for F1 (FB1). I am not very familiar with the rules of Immigration, I am running out of time and have made plans as per my prediction of getting the visa in Dec/Jan 2015. I dont want to lose days because of any paperwork etc.

Planning to hire a Immigration Attorney / Lawyer in INDIA from a month before my Date becomes current to take me through the paper work till the end as well as file a Waiver if required, for any rejection.

Does Attorney in India have any say in these matters, plz suggest ?

Plz suggest any good Lawyer in Hyderabad, India. How is MurthyIndia dot com ? Any reviews of this Murthy of Hyderabad ?

An attorney, Indian or US, doesn't have any say in this matter. (unlike India). I personally would avoid an Indian attorney since they probably aren't familiar with US laws and their mindset is to circumvent any laws. There is no need for an attorney. If your case is straight forward with no legal complications, and if you can comprehend basic english, and have patience to read this site, then you are good to go by yourself.

I mean I need an attorney to help me complete the paper work smoothly without loosing any days.

So Can an Attorney from India (as of now MurthyIndia dot Com) can be my appointed attorney ? and is it helpful in anyway ?

Any reviews of MurthyIndia dot Com, I am not sure if they are same as the (Sheela) Murthy dot Com of US, but they say they (Indian co.) are part of the same group, any feed back on MurthyIndia Dot Com ?

Or any other Attorneys are recommended in India, plz suggest ?

I did all the paperworks myself. From what I understand from reading here, the general consensus here is, an attorney can in fact screw up things in filling forms and in other things.

I am not aware of those attorneys or anyone else.

Many immigration attorneys will charge between $2500-$4000 to fill out forms that a reasonably intelligent 12 year old could do....according to the attorney's math, this sum translates into about 6-7 billable hours, which is a joke..in reality, it takes about an hour, maybe 90 minutes tops to fill out the forms and add some evidence photos or whatever....so, you decide what your time is worth.

I don't know about Attorney's in India but the one in San jose, CA charges around $750 for I-130 and $950 for NVC. Pretty straight forward. Let me know if you need her details and i can send you a PM. I don't know if she will work with you since you are in India.

Most of the stuff can be done by yourself so its up to you.
