Sandra,

Thank you for all your help and support. My interview yesterday was terrible.Unfortunately,it seems that my green card is denied and I will have to leave the country soon. That is so clear for the following reasons:

1-the IO refused to stamp the passport for me

2-He talked a lot about 30 days notice for denial that I have to respond otherwise I will have to leave the country

3-He asked about my previous jobs while I did not have EAC which I included in my applications for fee waiver before

4-He did not ask to see or take my EAC cards at all

5-He took the I-51 from my passport which was given to me while entry and did not even bother to make copy of my new passport which he doesn't have copy of in my file

6- my status on USCIS is still initial review

7-He gave me receipt that USCIS cannot give me decision at this time and will inform me of further step rather than stamping my passport if I was approved.

8-He did not even ask about marriage certificate, divorce certificate, bonafide marriage, or even any original documents except my birth certificate

9-when he asked about arrests ,he gave examples only of police arrests so I said no arrests and did not bother mentioning order of protection because he did not mention it as one of the examples although this document I presented in my VAWA case.

Thank you for all ur help though but forget about getting my green card ever.

Fancy1 the reasons you mentioned are not reasons for denial, first of all THEY DO NOT STAMP PASSPORT ANYMORE. Most officers don't take the EAD card back .Regarding they couldn't give decision yesterday it does not mean denial.Working without EAD in the past ,before filling vawa is not reason for denial.

Did he asks if you worked without authorization after filing ?what kind the questions exactly ?

Thank you guys for the support on my friend. I don't know how to appreciate you.

Yes I will tell her to find a support group that she can talk/share with those who are in the same situation. There's a clinic called Bell Flower for the HIV/AIDS patients. That's all i found so far.r, I wouldn't have known how to handle it if i were her :(

She is being very strong. I'm amazed by her strength

Again, thank you very much

Hey fancy, just be strong, I'm new to this forum but read most post. You never know, maybe your card will be on the way to you soon. Be positive, I can't even work right now, no Ead, still trying to get all my stuff together to file, it's hard with kids. I wish you all the best!

I'm overwhelmed with this. I have to get it out off my chest. As most of you know that I'm staying at the Domestic Violence shelter. One of the women here is in the same situation as I am despite she is a victim of human trafficking. When she was in her home country, she found a "brilliant opportunity" to work as a nanny in the USA. She had to take the opportunity to come to the USA so that she could feed her mom and blind grandma. That brilliant opportunity turned out to be human trafficking. She was brutally abused sexually, physically, mentally and so on. She became a sex slave and was given forcefully illegal drugs like crystal meth and heroine.

Luckily she didn't die and got help.

She's applying for a U visa.

Today she came back from the hospital and told me the heartbreaking news. She's got AIDS.

Now her all hope is wiped off. My heart just goes out for her.She used to anxiously wait for her case to be approved so that she can take care of her mom and grandma....

What I'm going thru is nothing comparison to her life.

It made me ashamed how stupid I am that I thought if my case is not approved then that's the end off the world. My point is that some people have the way bigger problems than I do.

It makes me think about definition of the word "HUMILITY".

Please pray for my friend.

Hi leilabird I must admit I too find myself weary and discouraged at times having been on this journey 2 years now but your friend is facing and even sadder situation. I do hope she finds comfort in God the author an finisher of our faith...

Chin up fancy1 God wont bring you this far to turn his back on you now!! Death and life is in the power of the tongue if you declare denial then denial it is but if you declare approval then approval it is begin speaking words of courage an success dont claim defeat over the interview ask God to give the IO compassion over your case even if he/she felt like there was an issue God is good we are all in this together and I will be reading your post of victory soon!!!!!

Fancy 1, Hang in there, what you posted does not mean that you will be denied, I really hope you get approved.

NOW I want to update you guys on my EAD(work permit) application. I applied for EAD mid April and card production was ordered on May 30th, so I will be receiving it in the mail very soon. USCIS did not send me any notice for biometrics(fingerprinting). The whole process took about 45 days which is great.

But then, why would the immigration officer lose so much time explaining what to do upon a denial letter?

Melaniek when the alien has the case denied the officer says "I am not going to approve your case", He gave her a receipt that USCIS cannot give me decision at this time and will inform me of further step.Someone posted here last year about a bad interview as well, she left devastated the USCIS officer, she even cried in front of the officer, she was 100% sure the officer denied her case, and after 3 months her case was approved. We have to wait to see how it unfold Fancy1case.

But how come are there bad interviews? Are officers just difficult people? Just thinking that if there are no criminal concerns, I don't understand how interviews aren't more straight forward.

Thank you all for your nice feelings.I have been here for long time trying to help each one of u with what I know.I was moved by all the messages u sent me on the forum and in private and even cried from all these good feelings u have towards me.

All the evidences I wrote in my last post make no hope for any approval .My case is denied and my life is gone after all what I suffered from my ex and I cannot return back to my country and I will lose my job even my EAC is about to expire and they for sure will not renew for me.Even the way they sent me the interview notice just 4 days before the interview is not normal. It appears that decision was already taken.

God knows the best for me.
