Hi Faithkeeper It is my understanding that they will use the priority date of your petition (when your I-360 was filed) not the date when you filed your I485? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You are right lank silly me I sent my mind in a frenzy over nothing its the PD of my I360 petition im still behind because its May31 2012 but still close enough hope it moves forward for July bulletin...hope all is well lank!

Hi Sandra and all the other vawa friends. ..Finally my visa was issued today after I got a 221g on my interview on the 8th. I was called to the Embassy today with my passport. The visa was stamped and also handed the yellow envelope with instructions DO Not Open. Thank you all.

I give up. I haven't been able to work and live my life for 3 years. How long do I have to act like everything is going to be okay? My husband tortured me and killed my baby. The USCIS wouldn't approve my case and is keeping it on hold. I pray everyday for a strength and courage. Now I'm exhausted. The shelter I have been staying at can't keep me no more because I've been their burder for too long. I'm too afraid to take my life. Idk what to think. I'm done

I am sorry for everything that has happened to you. Can you find a new shelter? If you file for divorce you can ask for your address to be kept confidential and then you can ask for spousal support.

April 2014 I-360, I-765, and I-485 mailed.
May 2014 EAD Received

July 2014 1-360 Approved

Waiting for interview

Well i don't think I'm the only one who's going thru hardship. Sorry I sounded selfish. I don't want him to support me. I'm capable of accomplishing everything I want. I just need freedom to do that. I will try to find another shelter. Most shelters let you stay for only 30days.

leilabird your lawyer filed I-360 without I-485 and I-765? I don't know if your lawyer explained everything for you, but you are still in the Vawa process, it means after approval you still have a long road ahead to get your GC (6/9months), but with Vawa approved your lawyer will file AOS and you can file to get work permit as well.

USCIS are adjudicating Vawa cases in 04/07 months, but until a few months ago they were taking 12/17months just to adjudicate Vawa, plus 6/9months to adjudicate AOS, despite we still have here a bunch of people that filed their cases in 2012 and they did not have AOS interview yet. It's a long road, but hang in there.Try to find a new shelter, see if you have in your State American Red Cross, and Salvation Army as well, they have several programs to help victims of DV,including shelters.

My attorney didn't file anything along with I360. My I360 took only 8months to get denial decision. Now it's re opened. I really don't care about the green card, i just need a work permit. Yes I think I will seek help from Salvation Army.
