Hi went for my interview at the consulate today and in the end 5 he CO handed me a white form which is 221g with the box checked where it says: Your Application requires Additional administrative processing before final decision is made. It should be done in 60 days. I think she said these kind of visas are for people applying in the US and how will I support myself. I told her I will be staying at my friend and look for a job. I don't know what will be the final outcome now....

This is life I am in shock that the consulate doesn't know that you don't have to prove how you will survive here, this question is pertinent to family based visa, they need a sponsor, you are a self petitioner of Vawa and you waived the form l864 signing form l864W.I hope when reviewing now they can realize that .

hi sandra ( btw tht the name of my ex as well) I think the lady was not aware of VAWA cases. In between she got up and went somewhere than came back and said you don't have a police report. I told her I never filed a report because she didn't hve fear for the law and I was afraid she would press false charges on me. Thn I told her the reason I had to come back to my country was because I suffered a silent attack and didn't wanted to be a burden on the US tax payers. This is whn she said tht is why we need to put you on AP. All I know is this nightmare will continue further because it might takes months to knw the decision. ...

Why didn't u then explain to her its a vawa case and you don't have to prove support. I hope all goes good luck

she handed me the slip before I could explain...

I need to obtain my spouse's birth certificate to prove his citizenship on my VAWA casr from the ND vital department. As a spouse you can't get obtain unless you have the court order.

How can I get the court order, what court should I. go to? I asked my attorney no response from her:(

leilabird to obtain a certified copy of his birth certificate you have to file a lawsuit in the Circuit Court against "Indianapolis State Registrar", but it's a bad idea, since you have to subpoena your husband as well, and of course he will find out through the lawsuit why you need a copy of his birth certificate.

Once your lawyer gave to USCS his full name, name of his parents, date and place of birth then USCIS will be able to get information about his Citizenship from DMV record and IRS.

Thank you Sandra, it's amazing that you know how I feel just like you have been familiar with my case for a long time.

That's true. The last thing I want from him is to know where I am at and what I'm doing. that's one of the reason why I haven't filed divorce yet. Once I'm fully able to protect myself financially, emotionally i will file a divorce

Now I understand why my attorney didn't wanna get a court order to get his bc. She tild me that the evidence provided should prove his citizenship.

Hope USCIS checks his citizenship thru BMV or IRS.

Again Thank you so very much

Sandra

leilabird all victims of dv don't have to disclose their adress in divorce proceedings, when filing for divorce don't forget to inform the clerk your address should not be disclosed in your file ,it's just for divorce purposes tho .As a victim of dv you can change your name as well.

Dear Snadranj

My husband is PR and I have pending i-485 (based on vawa approval) at NBC for about 4 months

I found that there is regression on visa bulletin on June 2014

Does this regression affect on my process if my priority date is after cut date and I have pending i485

Yes. Your I-485 cannot be approved until your priority date is current, and since F2A has (significantly) regressed then you cannot be approved until it moves forward past your date once more. You might get an interview before it happens, but you won't get approval.
