Sandra, I am going tomorrow to do my info pass by my self. Any advise from you what to ask?

When i was at the interview, the officer was trying to explain me that i might not get a gc right away, and the reason for that is that the system for some reason doesnt want to automatically approve it and they cant do it manually at the interview.

A friend of mine got his gc one week after the infopass.

Wish u good luck there!!

The reasons they don't approve sometimes the GC on the spot are if they ask the alien to bring some document missing,or to get Court disposition(if there is criminal history or Restraining order against the alien), or because they are new officers, and the supervisor has to review the file before they issue the GC. 90% of the aliens are approved at the interview, but last year they hired almost 80 immigration officers, and the new officers have no authority to approve AOS without the supervisor reviewing the case after the interview.

Hi sandranj

I received this message today :we transferred your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

My biometrics is in 2 weeks and my case when from vermon to local office.non NBC and I have not receive any new for my working permit.

Is that a good thing?

Thanks

thiat32 in a few days they will ship from Local office to NBC, and it will stay at the NBC 4/7 months, and then after a few month they will ship back to Local office. You still have a a few months ahead. Probably soon you will receive your EAD. They may take 30/90 days to submit.

I have no idea how many times I posted about psychological evaluation here, I hope this is my last time posingt about this matter. FOR GOD SAKE HAVE A PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION PERFORMED BY A PSYCHOLOGIST, PSYCHO THERAPIST OR PSYCHIATRIST!!!.I am sick and tired to read ####### evaluation performed by social worker or counselor.A social worker cannot diagnose you, a counselor cannot diagnose you.Despite some of these professional are good, they are not qualified to perform any test and diagnose you, then you will waste your time going there. It does not matter if the professional works in some clinic, you must ask" are you a licensed psychologist? or psychotherapist or psychiatrist"? if NOT, then find a qualified professional to perform your evaluation.

Hi everyone today I had my green card interveiw and everything went well. I didn't have to wait long to be called in after arriving. The IO was female and very nice. In all the interveiw took around 10-15 mins. The questions she ask are as follows

I was sworn in first then

My name

Address

Date of birth

Husband's name

All Questions on the i485 (no answers)

Passport new and old (the old one is the one I entered the us with)

I94 ( but they had it before but I had a copy so that was fine)

Tax return for this yr

Do you have a child (yes) what's her name

Birth certificate (mine)

Where do I work

Medical (they ask on the interveiw letter to brimg one in but I did do one last yr when filling i485 so I did a new one. I did ask her how long does a medical last she said one yr but took the new on anyways. I am happy she did cause I don't feel like I wasted my money ha!)

There didn't seem to be afadavit waiver in my file so she was going to have me fill one out on the spot but I had a copy of mine I did sent in so she was like great saved us a step.

Then she said my biometrics looks expired but will check. I told her July will be a yr since I did it. She said ok it is valid for a yr but don't know why she is seeing that in system.

She said everything looks great the only thing is the finger print I don't have to do it over they will just run it again. If the don't have to I will get green card soon if they do have to run it, it will take anywhere withing 2 months max to get green card.

I was nervous before interveiw but the moment I walked in office the good lord above calmed me and I felt fine. She was very nice.

Sandranj a big THANKS to you. Your are a great person, May God continue to bless you. Thanks for all the hard work that you put in here and to all vj members thanks for the support you guys are AWESOME!!! To all those waiting remember God is a god of perfection and completion he didn't bring you this far to quit on you. Have patience and put him first. Your journey is soon over.

Sorry for all the typing but wanted to share all info at interveiw to help you guys. And I am in NY.

Biometrics are valid for 15 months, not 12, so the officer was mistaken about that.
