This topic slowly turned into another adjustment of status dialog which already exists somewhere else on this forum. I just went through all 5 VAWA parts and somewhere from the middle of episode #4 the conversation went in the wrong direction.

Admins: maybe it's time to move all AOS related posts to a proper section of the forum?

I-360, I-765, I-485 and AOS

Today I called The congressman office in my city, and they going to help me.I sended copies of my documetns and also I completed and sended to them the pemission form. I hope they can help me whit my I-485 and move my case.

nicesky some people answered the RFE(regarding AOS) 2/4 months ago and until now USCIS did not give any decision in their cases. They may set up your interview soon or after 2/4/5 months....

dodgetown the Vawa thread is to discuss about Vawa , AOS though Vawa as well.Here people ask and provide information related to all steps of Vawa,AOS through VAWA, I-765 through Vawa, and it's working so perfectly that we are on thread NUMBER 5!

Hi guys,havent been on here for a while but its been 8 months now since l filed my AOS through VAWA.l havent heard anythig from them.my file is still at the intake processing center in vermont according to my case status.my lawyer says that the wait is betwwen 10 to 15 months.i,m officially frustrated..

missymd when did they approve your Vawa ? the AOS stays in Vermont maximum 2/3months after Vawa approval, then Vermont ships to NBC.If your Vawa was approved over 4months and they did not transfer your case to NBC then it's time for your lawyer to make some noise.Your lawyer information is not correct, no one single case of AOS stays 10/15months in Vermont if the Vawa was approved,as i said before maximum 2/3 months.

Hi sandranj my vawa was approved in july 2013 and l file my AOS end of august 2013.see,the problem l have with my lawyer is the fact that everytime l tell him to inquire about my case he always charge me for that yet i,ve paid him over 5k since l started my case.

YOUR lawyer should not charge you to inquire, read your contract again.I doubt he drafted that every time he inquiries USCis he would charge you.

Contact your congress person and ask him/her to inquire on your behalf.

After a RFE is received and sent back how long does it take the website to update?

It may never update; the online status is notoriously unreliable.

I sent rfe back on April 10 they receive April11 but online update was only aApril 18th.

BEN B USCIS may take weeks ,and even months to approve your GC. As I said before two or 3 girls here had interview and they were not approved on the spot, and all of them got GC after 2/ 3 months.You had interview 2/3 weeks ago, then I don't believe they will tell you that much. But make sure the address in your file is correct, and just ask if USCIS mailed you something after the interview,if they say NO,then they won't know the reason why the officer did not adjudicate your case until now.

Cielo I don't have interview date yet I only received RFE for medical,I didn't send mine when I sent all paperwork because I.was missing vaccines and I had to wait in between the shots thus, I decided to send everything except the medical... I have appointment for medical next week, will cost me $150.00 which I consider fairly ok... Includes tb test vaccines and x ray if needed
