Hi everyone, been a while since i posted. Congratulations to all approvals and all new GC holders! I finally have received a letter for my GC interview - I contacted my congressman to enquire as it had been transferred to NBC in June and not updated since i sent in my medical RFE in October and immediately after the enquiry the letter was sent to me. My interview is this week, i'm just making sure i have all the documents I need to take now!

Hi guys I am trying to help out a friend here .his vawa got approved 2 weeks abd he was packing up to leave and he found a arrest paper he was arrested for shoplifting in june 2012 the case was dismissed and he paid fine and did community service for one day he was charged with petit larceny dismiss acod now he submitted all three applications and put no for arrest he said he could not remember he was arrested. He call his attorney today and he said to him take the citificate of disposition to the interview .he's worried sick whats going to happen to him now .does anyone ever heard of any situation like this before or suggest what he can do now ?

If he pled NOT guilty and the charges were eventually dismissed, all he needs is a certified copy of the court disposition. At the interview, If they ask him if he got arrested, he just tells the officer the truth, explains the situation and hands the disposition to the officer. He shouldn't have a problem if he pled not guilty and got the charges dismissed.

just google online who is your county congressman, get a phone number call them and ask them what kind of help you need, if they are not in your district they will help you find the right congress man for you.

thanks domi-nique!!!,now I know who is the congresman in my city, the office just is acepted phone call not email, do you have any idea that I can said for explain my situacion, my case was tranfered on 31 octuber to my local office and i do not have any more news

jessy L USCIS cannot give information trough the phone to Vawa filers ok, they don't give any information regarding AOS or I-765 either.

Your sister should not work without EAD. Tell her to submit an e-request online. She can try to call USCIS, but 99% of the time they say they can't give information over the phone. She should mention right away that she has a Vawa pending and she wants to speak to a Tier 2, the Tier2 is always an immigration officer, and let's see if he/she will give her any information ok..

cielo NBC is working on October cases mine was transferred on 3 of October and I just had my interview so I would not worry much, just email them and tell them your case is out of the processing times.

now that I just received my greencard, what do I do with a whole seven file stash of evidence, and paperwork for my case, do I need this anymore.

will I need them for applying for citizenship or should I shred most of them

does the three year application for citizenship matter whether you divorce or not,

I was married to a US citizen, my divorce is now on going, am I eligible to apply for citizenship in 3 years?

Hey guys I got my interveiw letter yayyyy!!!!!!!. My case was transferred to nbc in October and to local office in March. I did an info pass in March and they told me it was there and if I don't hear from them in 1-2 months come back but me just thinking if I go back again to another info pass they will keep looking at my case. So I did do info pass after just 3 weeks. The officer told me that the last time I came they did send it to the right department within the local office where it should have been, she asked me if I didn't receive the interveiw letter yet and I said no. So she said if I didn't hear from them in a month come back. Well low and behold when I got home from info pass appointment the letter was in my mail box. I think she saw in the computer but thought it didn't get to me yet.

So for those who was transferred to nbc in October hopefully you guys will be getting yours very soon. Good luck and will let everyone knows how interveiw goes.

Sandra, feels so good to hear that other people had the same experience . I think mine is a bit different because the officer told me I will have a decision in a week, and now is almost 3 weeks...
